Feel free to download the newsletter, even if you don't attend my classes, you may find it useful to make cards for yourself. The download is on the left hand side panel of my blog. It should, if all goes well, take you straight to the link. Fingers crossed.

Hope you enjoy the read.

Design your life - Big Picture Class - Real World Colour Page

Here is the final page for the week long class. This theme is based on certain colours we are given to use in a certain layout. Great fun. Not to mention all the information that you can use regarding balance, colour choice. I am going to definitely make more layouts using these templates.
So now I'm off to begin Week 2.

Design your life - Big Picture Class - 2nd Pages

Here is the 2nd layout in my Design Your Life album. This is a 8.5 x 11 inch layout, showing my favorite things in my scrap room, although the photo of the card stock is not my card stock, it's a photo off the internet, but gives the general indication. This is the first time I have finished so many pages in so little time.

Design your life - Big Picture Class - 1st Page

This is my first 12 x 12 page. It's my eldest son Nathan, driving around our back yard on my youngest son's tractor. Don't ask!

Design your life - Big Picture Class - Title Page

Finally, after looking at 'The Big Picture - Design your Life' class, I decided to give it go. So here is my Title page for my album ready to print and go. The first weeks class is all about balance. I have finished the first week, which I must admit, took me two weeks, but Yes, finally I have finished - completed - something. I will add more album pages as I get them finished. If your interested in the class, the website is:
www.bigpictureclasses.com

I am doing a digital album first to see how I go, but looking so far, I will definitely do another one in normal format.

Color Coach - Blushing Bride 4

Here is the final card I have made using the Blushing Bride colour swatch. That takes care of all the items on this swatch including the Dynamic Duo, Creative Combination and the Sweet Set. I think I will be using the creative combination more than I will be using the sweet set, but you never know.

Color Coach - Blushing Bride 3

Here is the first card from the second selection of colours on the Color Coach from Stampin up. I'm not really sure whether I am happy with these colours or not, but that's part of the challenge isn't it.

Color Coach - Blushing Bride 2

Here is my second card using the color coach Blushing Bride card. I used the A Rose is a Rose stamp set (which I know is retired) but one of my favorite stamp sets. I also used the color coach to get the monochromatic colors that matched the Blushing Bride and also the match for Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.

Color Coach - Blushing Bride 1

So here is the plan of attack. I am intending on making cards based on the Color Coach developed by Stampin Up. If you don't know what the Color Coach is, here is a quick run down of what's in store. (I have chosen Blushing Bride as my first set of cards.)

On the color card there are Several sections to play with.

Color name and family. This is the color eg blushing bride and the family is In Color.

Dynamic Duo. This is Stampin Up colors in monochromatic schemes.

Sweet Set. This is a second combination using selections from the other core colors or

Getting Started Combination. This is a second combination using only colors from the getting started collection of colors. So that's the run down.

So as I am starting with my first color (blushing bride) the first combo is

Creative combination: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz.
Dynamic Duo: Blushing Bride, Regal Rose
Sweet Set: Blushing Bride, Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand.

Baby Bundle (Again)

These cards are the final of my weekend of card making. I made these cards up using Marina Mist instead of the usual Bashful Blue which I normally use. I am going to make some more of these little sets in pinks. I will post them on my blog when they are ready.

Card: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue
Stamp: Baby Bundle - Stampin Up
Misc: Border Punch and Clear Buttons

More Dragons and Copic Markers

I thought I would try and use the same image as below, and colour him in green instead of purple. I really love this digital stamp from Dustin Pike.

Card: Whisper White, Garden Green, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip
Garden Green Designer Paper
Get Well Soon - Rub on sentiment from Stampin Up

Copic G24, G28, G29 (Green) YR14 (Mustard), E43 (Crumb Cake)
These were the markers I used for the image. They are not an exact match to Stampin Up colours.

Stampin Up with Quickutz

I decided that I would get my old Quickutz Squeeze Tool and 2 x 2 dies out and have a play. The result is, two cards, same concept, one normal card size and the other a 3 x 3 gift tag. I forgot how much fun these are.

Card Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive, Basic Black
Real Red Designer paper
Tools Apple Die - Quickutz
Border Punch - Stampin Up
Ribbon - Stampin Up
Stampin Dimensional's

More Dragons

How could I resist making a card using this little fellow. I was practicing with my Copic Markers again, seeing whether this little guy would look okay in the purple colours. I think it worked quite well. I made an easel card for this one and used the new in colours from Stampin up. I'm quite pleased with the result.

Having fun with Dragons and Copic Markers

Here is another card I made this weekend using a digital image from Dustin Pike. I was experimenting with my new Copic Markers I got for Christmas, from my thoughtful family. Wow, they are really good. As always all card stock and embellishments are from Stampin Up.

I used garden green card stock and matching designer papers, along with more mustard and chocolate chip card stock. The little brads are also in more mustard. I also used the faux stitching technique to stitch around my main image.

Pumpkin Fun

I have had the best weekend, making cards. I have finally finished off a few cards so I can update my blog with some new stuff. This card was made using a bugaboo digital stamp. All other supplies are from Stampin Up, including the rub on for the sentiment on the card. The card is made from whisper white. I have also used pumpkin pie designer paper, along with matching card stock, old olive and chocolate chip. The ribbon along the bottom is pumpkin pie. I don't know who I will give this card to, but I love the image on the front, so I had to make it.

Mojo Monday Sketch

Here is the latest Mojo Monday Sketch. Week 173. I really like the card that Mary Fish has made using this sketch. I will have to case that one.
http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/ is where you can find sketches.
http://www.stampinpretty.com/ is Mary's blog.

I like the idea of elements down the side of the card as well.

Scrapbooking 2011

Here is my first scrapbooking layout for 2011. The page along the top of my blog (labled scrapbooking 2011) had all the further information regarding the templates and papers I have used. In these pages, I am going to highlight my New Years Resolutions, to become organised once and for all. These photographs are from the worst to the best. Although they look pretty bad, I'm not really THAT disorganised, just need a little shove every now and then.

Last post for Today

P1020102
Here is a photo off all the ATC’s I have made so far. It’s not many, but they are great for practicing your colouring and also you could use them to work out different colour combinations.

Boys

P1020104

So I didn’t realise that I had made so many cards this year. I will be sitting here for days, just updating my blog.

Digital image: Bugaboo Stamps Cardstock and Designer paper: Stampin Up Greeting: Stampin Up (cute and curly stamp)

Pirates

P1020103

I started this card when I posted the other Pirate card I made, CASEing from Paul Ford’s blog from Bugaboo Stamps.

I used the computer to colour the image to match the Stampin up designer papers I wanted to use and then I used my pro markers to outline the image. I pinched this technique from Paul. Awesome artist.
Products used are from Stampin Up.

Digital image is Bugaboo Stamps.

More ATC’s

P1020100

Okay, so I am totally addicted to using ATC’s for my scraps, and to practice colouring. The images here, the elephant and the Santa clause are from Bugaboo Stamps and the bear in his underwear is a freebie from Dustin Pike. Everything else is Stampin Up.

A Few more ATC’s

P1020101

Here is the last three ATC’s I made. The cat and birdhouse digital image is from Bugaboo Stamps, (i love these) and the bear and tiger are from Dustin Pike. (also love these). All other products are from Stampin Up.
