Snowflakes?

The challenge this week at stampin royalty is all about Snowflakes. I questioned my title for this post, because I could not find a snowflake anywhere in my stash. I couldn't believe it. So I have used a little snowflake that I cut out of the designer paper, and embossed the background with snowflakes. As I had not cleaned up from the last card I posted, (last week), I decided I would use the same 'everything' and create another card. Makes for easy colour selection too.

Winter

This week at stampin royalty we have a Winter theme for you to try. I have used one of my favourite stamps called Snow Much Fun and coloured with my Copics to match the Stampin Up papers. The papers come from the mini stack called Winter Frost, which just fits nicely on the card. I even dragged out my little sewing machine and machine stitched around the outside of the Smokey Slate. So, remember, if you want to purchase any of these products to make you own Winter themed card, just click on the shopping button and have the product delivered straight to your door.

Stampin Royalty - Shape of things - Circles

I am totally loving this card. I know, I'm bragging a little, but hey. Someone has to tell me how good this card is. I made this card for the challenge at Stampin Royalty this week. Our challenge was to make a project using circles. What to do, what to do. I found this little stamp set on MDS (My Design Studio) Stampin Up's digital card, scrapbooking software, and suddenly an idea popped into my head. I Printed the stamp set out (Jolly Bingo Bits), fussy cut them out, punched out a few circles and; cool. Will be making more of these for Christmas this year. Have a look at what the rest of the design team have made using circles. They really are an extremely talented bunch of ladies. I love being a part of their team.

SR Challenge 187 - Christmas in July

Here is my card for the challenge at www.stampinroyalty.blogspot.com this week. The theme for this week is Christmas in July. I have used some of my older designer paper and the stamp set called Snow much Fun by Stampin Up. I also used my Copics to colour in the snowmen and tree. The torn paper is supposed to look a bit like snow, (not sure about that one). I think I need a little more practice with the tearing technique. Pop on over and check out the other Christmas cards the Design Team have prepared. There is nothing better than getting an early start on the Christmas cards.

Dynamic Duos 22

I have finished yet another Christmas card. I have used the colours above through the Dynamic Duos colour challenge of Cherry Cobbler and 'Gumball Green', as my choice colour. I am going to link this card to the challenge blog, which you can find here dynamic-duos-22-mix-match-week. So this card is made up of everything Stampin Up, as per usual. Only twelve more Christmas cards to go.

A Wish for Peace

So for this colour challenge, I decided that I would make a non traditional (male style) christmas card. I used the colours as shown below being River Rock, Basic Black with a hint of Very Vanilla. For the shading of the image (it looked a little bit plain on the card) I shaded it with my black stampin up pencil, just to give it a little bit of character.

Welcome Christmas

Here is a card I have made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge this week. Their designs are amazing for creating clean and simple cards. Love them. So I have used the retiring Welcome Christmas stamp set from Stampin Up, and the new designer papers, gumball green, Cherry cobbler, Very Vanilla card stock and a few little pearls to finish off the card. Another Christmas card to cross off the list. Woohoo. Click on the link below to go straight to the challenge site for some amazing cards using the same sketch.

Sneak Peak Designer Paper

I made this card using the Stampin Up build a stocking punch and the NEW designer papers that WILL be available on 1st September. Not long to wait now. I have used the Gumball Green paper and ink to co ordinate with the Designer Paper as well as Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler. I am also submitting this card for the SU Only challenge (Designer Papers) and Pals Paper Arts sketch for this week.

Dynamic Christmas

So, this card turned out better than I thought it would, and I think I will be doing some more of this style in different colours. I made this card for the Dynamic Duos challenge number 13.

I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso with a little hint on very vanilla.
(Sounds a little bit like morning tea actually. Coffee, cake with a twist of vanilla.)
The stamp set I used is Merry and Type from Stampin Up.

Christmas in July 2

Here is the second card we made for class this morning. It is a little cleaner card than the previous one. Although there are only a few colours in this card, I think I like it more than the other one. The colours are Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. There is a challenge over at Friday Mashup, using a Christmas card or Christmas card inside and outside, so I think I will enter this one, as we finished inside and outside.

Christmas in July 1

Here is one of the cards we made at class this morning. It features the Tags til Christmas stamp set from Stampin Up, Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock. I used all of the punches that co ordinate with the stamps. (So grateful for these). Here is a closer image of the front panel of the card, for those who didn't quite get the card assembled.

Friday Mashup - Challenge 34- Here come the Boys

I made this card for the Friday Mashup Challenge 34. The deal was to use Chocolate, Aqua, (taken with Teal) and White. Although technically, Santa wears a red suit, I can see him chilling out in a bit of aqua every now and then after the business end of the year is over. The colours I have used are all Stampin up, including Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and the retired Taken with Teal. You can't tell, but there is a chocolate Chip button on the greeting.

Here is a close up of the colouring. I have used my Copic markers for the colouring and the Digital Stamp comes from Sassy Cheryl's. Oops I almost forgot to enter this card in the Here Come the Boys blog challenge. Here are the details: http://www.herecometheboysblogchallenge.blogspot.com/

Color Throwdown 169

Here is my card I am using for this weeks Color Throwdown. Awesome colours, although I did really struggle including the Baja Breeze. Not my most favorite colour in the Stampin Up range. The image came from Sassy Cheryl's. She has the cutest images. I am in love with all of them.

Paper Players Challenge #73

Here is the card I have made for the Paper Players this week. The theme was a clean and simple challenge using Night of Navy, Whisper White and Silver. Click link below for details

I embossed the stamped image and the sentiment on the bottom of the card, used a little piece of acetate to cover my image to give it a little bit of a shine and silver thread to wrap around the brads. I am really happy with the way that this card turned out. Again, I apologise for the crappy photo.

Woo hoo. My Christmas card earned me an award. So very happy. Thank You.

Christmas Challenges x 2

The first challenge I am using for this card is the one from
http://www.inkspirations-challenges.blogspot.com/

The second challenge is from
http://doyoustackup.blogspot.com/

I had fun using my quickutz for this one for the Christmas tree, added heaps of bling, a few punches from Stampin Up and there you have it. A really simple, yet effective card for Christmas.

My Christmas card earned me this award. Thank you so much.

Little Card Holder

So after starting my Christmas cards in July, I needed somewhere to keep them until Christmas. So I headed for the Internet again and came across this cute little magazine style card holder. The template and tutorial comes from Sunflower Stamping just look on the sidebar for Magazine Holder Tutorial.

So after finishing my holder, I have somewhere to keep my cards safe and unbent while I wait for December. Again I have used Delightful Decorations stamp set and Jolly Holly designer papers.

Sneak Peak Christmas

Okay, so how awesome is this new stamp set from Stampin Up. It is available for purchase in the NEW catalogue that starts 1st September 2011. I purchased this one, as I knew I would use it a lot. The Stamp set is called Tidings of Joy. I made a gate fold card with a difference for this card. The difference from the standard gate fold is the image and greeting are adhered to the opposite sides of the card. Not on the same side. I used my copics to colour the image and again I used the Jolly Holly designer papers to decorate the card. Really liked the way this one turned out. Very cute.

Here is a closer sample of the coloured image on the front of the card.

Christmas in July (Almost)

I have been searching the Internet for Christmas cards a little early this year. I have come up with a few that I really like and I have cased them. Most of these have come from the very talented Kimmie. Follow the link to go directly to her site. Stampin with Kimmie

Here is another card I have made for Christmas this year. This one is a Joy Fold Card and I have decorated it using Stampin Ups Jolly Holly Designer Paper.

This is my third card for Christmas in July. Its a little card with a gift holder. Fantastic idea, just wish I could claim it for my own. The instructions come from Kimmie as well.
Like I said earlier, very talented lady.

Be sure to pop on over to her blog and check out her other Christmas cards and 3d projects.

Class Project November

P1010826

 P1010827

Here is the project my Stampin class made last Monday. It’s a little box with an acetate cover for the lid.
We then had some fun stamping and punching to make little gift tags to place inside the box.
Here is the link for the tutorial for the box we made: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/tagbox/

We made a few minor alterations, basically to keep it to Stampin Up products and some ribbon I had and wanted to use. It is a bit hard to see the inside tags, but they are all made with punches that matched the stamps. i.e. Delightful Decorations etc.

Challenges, Challenges everywhere

CTD118

The first Challenge I found was from The Colour Throwdown using the Stampin Up colours pictured left. Really awesome colours. This is Challenge number 118. So I think I am about 117 behind. OOps.

Mojo164Sketch

The Second Challenge comes from my beloved Mojo Monday sketch number 164. Where would I be without my mojo. Loved using this sketch. I think it will be one that I use quite often.

Last but not least. Here is my finished product. Yet another Christmas card out of the way for 2010. I used a 5'”x5” white card. All cardstock and Designer papers are from Stampin up. The image in the middle of the card is another one from Bugaboo stamps. Awesome.
