Thank you - Stampin Royalty

So, all good thing must come to an end, and this is the end of my time with Stampin Royalty as a Guest Designer. I must admit, that I have had a ball over the past few months and will be at a loss as to what to do next. I would however like to take this blog opportunity to thank the girls at stampin royalty for making my time with them awesome. They are so talented and have amazing challenges and ideas. Pop on over and say hi.

My card for this week (Masculine) theme, was right up my alley. Being the only female in a house full of boys, I tend to make more male cards than female cards. From what I gather, this is unusual, but that's me to a tee.

I went with the Totally Tools stamp set from Stampin Up and used Real red, Basic Grey, Black and Whisper White. I also used the tiny pennant flags from Little Additions, also Stampin Up. Its a bit hard to see, but I used Crystal Effects on the handles of the tools as well. So, thanks for taking the time to look at my cards for the previous few months and leaving such awesome comments.  :)

Guest Designer SUO Challenges

I was lucky enough to be selected by SUO challenges to be a guest designer for a day. The theme is Summer Days and here is the card i came up with, (bit tricky as we are heading into winter). Oh well, we are one day closer to summer than we were yesterday. The colours I have used are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise. The little ships were made using the Photo Corner punch, and the waves were made using the sizzix edgelits from Stampin Up. Clouds were made using the top of the cupcakes punch. Hope you check out all of the other cards on the www.suochallenge.com site too. They are all great.

The Nicest Things

So here is my card I finished off this morning for the create-with-connie-and-mary ccmc203-sketch-challenge.html using the sketch above. Wow, this sketch, as you would say, really was a challenge. So after much deliberation, this is the card I came up with. The colours I have used are Concord Crush, Lovely Lavender and whisper white. I also used the stamp set, The nicest things, Four Frames and the sentiment from Occasions Alphabet.

Boys will be Boys

Here is my card for the Friday Mashup challenge number 60. The sketch above is what the card is based on, I think I may have gotten a little carried away with this one, as every time I added something else, it sort of looked okay. I have used Baja, Limeade, Night of Navy, Basic Grey, whisper white for my colours and the stamp set Best Dad Ever.

Blogger Troubles

Man, I can't believe how long it has taken to try and get my blog working properly. I have, this morning, my whole header disappear, backgrounds not showing up, and changing themselves to Colours that I didn't choose. I'm not sure what you guys are seeing while all of this is happening but I am just seeing headache tablets, and lots of them. So I am asking you to please bare with me while I work through these issues with my blog. Hopefully soon I will be happy with the way it looks and continue to post some more creations for you to look at.

Stampin Royalty Challenge #125

Here is my card for the Stampin Royalty Colour Challenge this week. I have so enjoyed my Guest Designer spot with the girls. Such inspiration. So, the colours used are listed in the challenge, and I decided that I had better dust off my Stampin Up Owl Punch and punch out another one. (Not really dusty), it gets used all of the time. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

New Blog Header

I have been working on a new blog header for my blog. They say that a change is as good as a holiday, and as I am not holidaying any time soon, I thought I had better have a change. I haven't worked out any of the finer details as yet, but I thought I would show you what I have currently done. Any opinions would be greatly received.

Colour Challenge 202 Upsy Daisy

Here is the card I have made and will submit to the www.createwithconnieandmary.com Colour Challenge Number 202. I wasn't quite sure about the colours when I pulled them out of my stash, but I think they came together really well in the end. And as for the Upsy Daisy (retired) stamp set from Stampin Up, LOVE it. I have made quite a few cards using this stamp. (So much that it actually fell of the wooden blocks. I use it as a clear mount stamp set now.) Still works a treat.

May Challenge - Punches

Oh dear. I totally forgot to post this little card I made for the Guest Designer for May.
The challenge this week was to create a card using punches. I think that I have completed this challenge to its fullest. If you want to play along, head on over to Stamping Royalty and check out all the other 'punches only' cards. They are all amazing.  PS. So sorry for the dodgy photograph. (I'm working on that little problem).

Scrapbook Challenge - Stamping Royalty - Guest Designer May

Wow, how chuffed am I that Stamping Royalty have asked me to stay on for another month. Awesome. So this weeks challenge is a Scrapbook Challenge. (Right up my alley) if I don't mind saying. So here is my page.

For those who know me and my family will know that this is the perfect layout for my youngest son Daniel. Standing next to large dump trucks in his work clothes. Heaven. So, having said all that, pop on over to Stamping Royalty (link on right hand side of my blog, under Wednesday Challenges) and have a look at all the other Designers work. So much inspiration. I may even have to case a few other pages for myself.
