Craft Room - All together

Finally, I have finished the back wall of my craft room. The final piece of the puzzle came together when I used the large drawer unit to put all my Stampin Up stamps in. I can fit lots of them in the drawers, which leaves a whole shelf in the wardrobe free.

And finally, here is the completed back wall of my room. It looks like a lot of stuff, but its not really! I'm trying to convince myself!!! So when I am creating something, I am standing with my back to this wall, so everything is in arms reach. Perfect! No more digging into boxes, not using the right embellishment, because I couldn't find it. No more double purchases!

Well! Thanks for putting up with my ranting about my craft room.
Hopefully the next post will include a project or two!
Oh, and in case you are wondering! I have a tiny room. Its about 4 meters square. And there is heaps more to show you in later posts.

Craft Room Makeover - Part 4

Yes! I am still sorting out my craft room. Here is what I did this morning.
I stacked all of my MOST USED stamps in my shelves. I am a visual crafter, so I need to see what I have. It also saves me a lot of money, as I have a few duplicates!!!

Here is the top section. AND here is the bottom Embellishment section.
I made this unit quite a while ago now, and it has been the best thing I have made.

Apart from the tins, covered with designer paper. the jars an containers came from Target. I am loving the chalkboard labels.

Here it is all together! Very handy item, I must say!

Here is a close up of the embellishment section!
Buttons, ribbons, pencils, Roller stamp, and my chook!

Craft Room Makeover - Part 3

So, I am still working on the back wall of my craft room. I think I am nearly finished though! Here are some more projects I have finished. I hope I am not boring anyone yet!

Here is where I store my retired inks, my copic paper, my embossing folders, my SU die cuts and my set of retired pastels. Even though some of these items are no longer available, I do still use them.

I then made this punch holder, for my most frequently used punches. That is pretty much all I can say about this one. lol

As a Project Lifer, or Pocket Page scrapper, I needed somewhere to store the "USE THESE FIRST" section of Project Life kits. There are 3 full kits and 5 mini kits here that I must use first before opening another box.....

Now, onto my Ribbon Holder. I know, I've gone nuts over foam board. So following a tutorial on Pinterest, with a few minor adjustments, here it is.

And, finally, here it is all together in my bookcase.
Yeah! One section finished. Now onto the next one.....

So now you can see how everything ties in together. I have also sorted my paper out in colour, instead of colour families. Not sure how this will work yet!

Oh, I almost forgot, my little touch of decor in my little room.

These little cuties are sitting on top of my bookcase. Just to tie in the white and wood.
Hope I haven't bored you too much. And I hope this post has given you some idea of my craft room.
I will be posting some more pictures when I finish another section.

Craft Room Makeover Part 2

I am still playing in my craft room, with my foam board, searching Pinterest like a crazy woman. Here is the next project I came up with...

With my stamp pads sorted, it was time to get my Copics, Stampin up Markers and new Blendabilities in order. Again, searching Pinterest, I found this little Copic storage unit, and again, made completely from foam board. Awesome! I'm loving this stuff. The one holding the SU markers was made exactly using the tutorial, (without the dividers) and the one with the Copics, I made the selves slightly longer to hold my growing collection. So, that is the first shelf of my book case finished. Here is the picture.

So far, so good. The units didn't fall apart over night, and everything is still sitting nicely. So that is the Stamp pads and Markers all organised and happily in their new homes.

Craft Room Makeover Part 1

Well, its been a while since I have written anything on my blog. To my followers, I really do apologise. Hopefully, it won't happen again! But, just in case it does.... I will apologise in advance.

So, although I have not been blogging, I have been busy in my craft room. Well, changing my craft room actually. Here is a picture of the back wall of my room in July.

This was great, because all my paper was easy to get to. All the colours were sorted and things were going fine.... Until I need some Embellishments for my project. I was stuck in the wardrobe searching through boxes to find what I wanted. I needed something else! Here is my solution I came up with. This was the back wall in early September.

I joined up the paper racks to make two towers and brought in the bookcase from the spare room. I used the storage boxes from the wardrobe and placed them in the bookcase. Not a huge change, but one that was working ok. That was, until I needed something from the box on the bottom. Still problems with this darn back wall. After a long search on Pinterest, I found some amazing ideas and decided to use them in my room. The problem I was having, is the fact that I think I am a visual crafter. I work better if I can see what I have and is easily accessible. Back to the drawing board........

My first project was to find the product called Foam Board. Turns out that our local office supplier stock this all the time. Bonus for me. So, off I went to the store. Below is the first project in my Craft Room Makeover....

So, here is the photo of my stamp holder, I made, all by myself using foam board. OMG! this stuff is amazing. So, the first thing I needed was a place to store all my stamp pads, in easy reach, colour coded and stacked neatly. If you search Pinterest for foam board organising heaps of little goodies will appear. This was unbelievably easy to make. I even surprised myself. Oh, and I have decided to store my stamps in colour and not families. Im not quite sure how this will go.

Stay tuned for the next project in my Craft Room Makeover.

The last one. Promise

So, this is the last set of pictures of my craft room. I thought I had better include my crafting budding in this one as well. She is usually in here with me when I am creating. Now off to start on the third part of my New Years Resolutions.

Sorted Room 3

Here are the photos of my immediate work area. Looking back at all the posts relating to my room, it looks huge. Really it is not very big at all. It is only about 3m x 3m. My craft room is located directly off our living room, which is another terrific reason to have this room sorted and organised. It could be a bit embarrassing if it looked like a war zone.

I promise, the last photo collection will be the last. :) (until I decide to change it again) lol.....

Sorted Room 2

Here is the second selection of photos of my Sorted craft room.
I decided to blog these photos in the format that I have, mainly because there are so many photos, and I don't want to bore anyone. So bear with me as I post a few more. The final blog post about my room will have an all together view so these photos will make more sense. (hopefully)

Another Resolution done

Actually there are two resolutions here. The first one being, CLEAN and SORT craft room. The second one is to learn to use my iPad to its full potential. So these photographs and layout were all used with my iPad. So, briefly, (as this could take a while) this is my newly sorted craft room. This is the wall that faces me when I walk into my room. I made my little embellishment holder and ribbon holder myself, so I am quite proud of that achievement, picked up the paper racks (extremely cheaply) at a craft show. I have a place for my ribbons, background stamps, embellishments, scrap paper, punches, inks, roller wheels and a few cards for display purposes. I will add another section of my room when I finish it. Hope everyone is having a great start to 2013.
