Colour Challenge Time

Over at Stampin royalty this week, we have the very talented Carrie, who has come up with this colour challenge for you all to have a go at. Using the colours above, create a project, or a card and link it up with the Stampin Royalty team and see how many different cards and project can be made using these colours. Have a look at Carries blog here Carrie Stamps.

I have just noticed that SU Only Challenges are having a fun folds challenge. I think I will post this card on their site as well. It has been too long since I have played with any challenges.

More owls?

Well, I'm back from a relaxing holiday and ready for some craft time. My first project after a brief break for Stampin royalty is a picture inspiration, and I must confess, I just love looking at this picture.

Isn't this picture just adorable. I love the grey and orange together. I'm actually wishing my bedroom looked like the one pictured, but alas, it does not. Here is my card for this challenge, and believe me, this little fellow is made from Smokey Slate, although it looks on the brownish side.

Isn't this owl so cute. Unfortunately, I can take no credit what so ever, but..... if you follow this link here addinktivedesigns. You will be able to make your own little owls, and believe me, you will have to make at least one. So pop on over to the Stampin Royalty blog and have a go at our challenge this week.

This week over at Stampin Royalty we have a colour challenge for you to try. Using the colours stated above, create a card or project of any kind and link it up to our challenge site. I have used stippled blossoms, very quickly becoming my favourite stamp and the Sale A Bration stamp set called You're Lovely.

You're my Hero

This week over at Stampin Royalty, we have a colour Challenge for you to try. This was a bit of a tricky challenge, but I really wanted to use the You're my Hero stamp set from Stampin Up, and especially to try out my new Blendabilities Pens, also from Stampin Up. My Goodness! They really do blend exceptionally well. Head on over to the blog, and see what the other girls have made using the same colours.

Scrapbooking Challenge

Today over at Stampin Royalty we have a scrapbooking challenge for you to try. Here is the digital scrapbook pages I have made for this challenge. I am working on Project Life again this year, but this particular week I had no photos what se ever of the week. I have vowed, that I am never doing that again. So I came up with some of my favourite photos of my boys and what they do to make then who they are. Quite happy with the results in the end.

Happy Easter Everybunny

This week at www.stampinroyalty.blogspot.com we have another Picture Inspiration challenge for you to have a play with. I used the retired Pretty in Pink card and designer paper for this little Easter card, along with the stamp set called Everybunny. Check out what the other girls have come up with using the same picture as inspiration. I am also entering this card into the SUO Challenges this week. Check out the link here.

Your Special Day

The challenge over at stampin royalty this week is a sketch challenge. I'm pretty sure I have told you by now, how much I love sketch challenges. Here is my card for this week. I used my new stamp set Peaceful Petals, which is available on my store and coloured in using my copic markers.

The colours I used on this card are Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz with a little bit of Elegant Eggplant, card stock and matching designer papers.

All that Glitters

All that glitters - Gold is our theme for this week over at Stampin Royalty.
It is pretty simple really. Create a project using something gold.
For my card, I found some gold card stock from Stampin Up, that I had neatly stored away so I thought that I would make a birthday card, paper piecing a balloon and using my star punch to punch out some gold stars. I then paper pierced around the outer edges and used my gold gel pen to create the faux stitching. All in all, I am pretty happy with the way it came together.

Floral Congratulations

For Stampin Royalty this week we have another picture inspiration for you. From this picture I decided that more flowers and doilies were in order. I think my card is based on the small picture of the dining setting on the bottom right hand corner. Basically everything that I have used for this card has been discontinued, but having said that, you can substitute the colours if you want.

Stampin Royalty Challenge 195

So, the challenge for this week, involves a few trendy triangles. This card looked great in my head, and while I was punching away, and inking each and every triangle, I was beginning to have some doubt. But now that it is all together and finished, I love it. I especially love the fish (fishy friends - Retired). This is one of my all time favorite stamp sets from Stampin Up. I used my copics to colour them in, and again you will notice the happy birthday sentiment. If anyone remembers which stamp set this belongs to, I would appreciate a comment so I can update my blog. The colours I have used here are Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue (I still have heaps of this colour) and Night of Navy. I used the same ink to dauber the edges. I love this tedious little fishy card. It may be a good class card for in the future.

Thanks so much

For the challenge at Stampin Royalty this week we were asked to make a card using patterned paper. Here is the card that I came up with, using the patterned paper for the background of my card. I have used the stamp set called backyard basics from Stampin Up and all of the butterflies have been coloured using my Copic Sketch Markers. I used glue to stick the middle of the butterflies to the cards, then carefully bent the wings up to create a 3D looking effect.

Colour Challenge at Stampin Royalty

I love colour challenges. It really makes you think about your card and takes the hard part about choosing colours away. Oh well, I think I am kidding myself here. This week's colour challenge, really was a challenge. I didn't think that my card was quite the way I wanted it. Well, that was until I stuck the designer paper on. Loving it now. Have a look at what the other design team member have done using the same colours. Amazing stuff.

Daring Adventure

Here is my submission for the Stampin Royalty colour challenge this week. I chose to do another page layout using My Design Studio by Stampin Up. This program is so easy to use, and remember there is a 30 day free trial. The colours are listed above, which are quite nice together. Click on the link below to see what the other girls have come up with. They are awesome.

Stampin Royalty Picture Inspiration

Here is another 8" x 8" double page layout using MDS. I am so in love with this program from Stampin Up. This layout was created using the picture below as my inspiration. There just so happened to be a template available on MDS that fitted perfectly. Have a look at what the other girls have done with the same picture.

Single Layer Challenge

Oh Boy. The challenge for this week at Stampin Royalty is Single Layer. Oh man, did I struggle with this one at the start. I sat for hours with a sheet on white card stock in front of me, hoping that inspiration would come. Argh. Nothing. So, after many hours, I decided to jump onto MDS. Create a new project, resize the project to the card size I was after, went through all my SU digital stamps, and hey presto. This is eventually what I came up with. And, without tooting my own trumpet. I love it. Although I did use my Copics to colour the Poppies and stems.

Anything goes at Stampin Royalty

Stampin Royaltys' theme for this week is ANYTHING GOES. I thought that this challenge would be a piece of cake, but I had so many ideas floating around in my head, it was difficult to decide which one I would go with. I decided to scrap them all and play around with MDS from Stampin Up. Amazing program, once you get the hang on it. I created a double page spread 8.5" x 11". I had never attempted a Landscape digital page before, as we Australians struggle to get page protectors for this type of page. Becky Higgins to the rescue. I found these page pockets in a mixed set I purchased on the weekend.
Stay tuned for more MDS projects, as I am already hooked. Have a look at what the other girls have some up with this week. Here is the link for you.

It's all Stripes

This week at Stampin Royalty is all about stripes. And, wouldn't you know it, I had no stamps available to me with Stripes. So having said that, I grabbed the next best thing. Zebras. Yeah, and I had the stamp set to match. So here is my card.

Photo inspiration at Stampin Royalty

Here is your photo inspiration for this week. I love the nautical theme of this photo. Really like the navy and white. So here is my card. I used the digital stamp The Open Seas (Stampin Up) so I could enlarge the stamp and create a larger background for my card.

Stampin Royalty Sketch Challenge

Using the sketch below, I have come up with this card. I really love this stamp set from Stampin Up called Stippled Blossoms. My colours for this card include, Concord Crush, Wisteria and White. The inks I have used are the same, but with a touch of Old olive and Pear Pizzazz.
