Water Colouring

Oh dear, I got so excited that I actually finished this card, that I forgot to blog it!!!!

So, here it is, in all its glory. Over at Stampin Royalty this week, we have a very talented lady, Stasia, and she has challenged us all to design a card using water colours. So after searching my entire craft room, for where I placed my very limited supply of water colour paper, I pulled out my Stampin Up markers and my blender pen, and went to work. Head on over to the Stampin Royalty site and check out what the others have come up with. Challenge yourself and upload your picture to the blog, you may even win.

Silver all the way

Oooooh. Look who I dragged out again. I just can't get enough of this little owl. He is so darn cute. I made this card for the challenge over at Stampin Royalty which is a silver challenge. Although you can't see the paper properly, it is in actual fact Stampin Up's Silver paper. Head on over to Stampin Royalty and see what the other girls came up with. Im sure there are cards and projects worthy of casing.

You're my Hero

This week over at Stampin Royalty, we have a colour Challenge for you to try. This was a bit of a tricky challenge, but I really wanted to use the You're my Hero stamp set from Stampin Up, and especially to try out my new Blendabilities Pens, also from Stampin Up. My Goodness! They really do blend exceptionally well. Head on over to the blog, and see what the other girls have made using the same colours.

It's your birthday

For this card, I went to My Design Studio from Stampin Up to find the stamps I was looking for. I printed the stamps in the colours (re sizing) below to match the theme at Stampin Royalty this week. I think that this stamp set is called "on the go?"

Stampin Royalty Challenge 195

So, the challenge for this week, involves a few trendy triangles. This card looked great in my head, and while I was punching away, and inking each and every triangle, I was beginning to have some doubt. But now that it is all together and finished, I love it. I especially love the fish (fishy friends - Retired). This is one of my all time favorite stamp sets from Stampin Up. I used my copics to colour them in, and again you will notice the happy birthday sentiment. If anyone remembers which stamp set this belongs to, I would appreciate a comment so I can update my blog. The colours I have used here are Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue (I still have heaps of this colour) and Night of Navy. I used the same ink to dauber the edges. I love this tedious little fishy card. It may be a good class card for in the future.

Stampin Royalty Colour Challenge #180

This is the card I made for the  Stampin Royalty colour challenge below. I must confess, I was a loving these colours together in the picture below, but when I grabbed these colours and tried to put them onto my card, I struggled. Although, having said that. I now love these colours together. Pop on over to the Stampin Royalty challenge page and see what the other girls have come up with. I seem to be having a little balloon issue this past few months. It would have to be my most used stamp that I own.

Stampin Royalty Picture Inspiration 178

The picture below is my inspiration for this fun, happy summer looking card. Although the card consists mostly of the stripes on the lemonade stand and some of the colours.

Stampin Royalty Challenge 165

Here is my card for Stampin Royalty's Sketch Challenge this week. I really wanted to make a card using the new stamp set I purchased a while ago called Kidoodles. It reminds me of my favourite stamp set Pun Fun. So I used Crumb cake, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Chocolate Chip as my card stock and Designer papers. The link to the challenge is below if you want to play along.

Monster Birthday Bash

This weeks challenge at http://www.stampinroyalty.blogspot.com.au is a sketch challenge. I love to use sketches because they take all the placement problems away from card making. If you are like me, I swap and change the layout of my card and embellishments about a hundred times before I finally stick them down. I have used the Make a A Monster set from Stampin up and the card stock (away from my comfort colours) is all stampin up also. Hop on over to the Stampin Royalty site, have a go at the sketch and post so we can all share. I also found some old google eyes that I stuck on the monsters too.

Clowning Around

I made this card this morning using the sketch shown below. Okay. So I rotated it a little bit so as I could use this little clown image from Dustin. I have a few little clowns so you will be seeing a few more of these yet. I am also experimenting with my iPad, trying to take a photo of the card, edit the card and then trying to blog with my iPad. So we will have to see how this turns out.

Steve the Pirate

Here is my take on the Freshly Made Sketches #58 for this week. If you are a Dodgeball fan, you will know all about Steve the Pirate. I wanted to see how this little fellow would look Copic'd. Well, I like him anyway. This is one of the original stamp set I purchased after joining Stampin Up. I just don't have the heart to let him go yet. It is actually quite difficult to create a Clean and Simple card, although these sketches are amazing and help a lot. If you would to play along with the challenge go to:

Farmer Clem

So, I would like to introduce you to Farmer Clem. He is just the cutest farmer around. The stamp is one that I purchased last Friday, and I am entering him this week in the Colour Throwdown combination listed below. It seemed to be the right choice, as I had no idea that these colours would end up being the ones for this challenge as I was adding colour to Clem.

Create a cupcake

This is the card I made for the Stampin Royalty Picture Inspiration challenge Number 130. I decided that I would go with the Create a Cupcake stamp set from Stampin Up as I have not used this one before and the punch that matches this set make cutting a breeze.

My supplies include the following, SU Chipboard Numbers, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise card and ink pads to match. I cut the squares 2" and used the 1 3/4" circle punch for circles behind the cupcakes.

Fishy Birthday

Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I used this stamp set. I made this card using the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #30 and I have used the colours from The Paper Players Challenge #90
I really like these colours together and the fish from Stampin Ups' Fishy Friends seemed to be calling out to be used on this card. If you click on the above links, you will go directly to the site. Play along if you like. They both have the most amazing Designers with heaps of inspiration.

SUO Challenge #40 It's Fun Being Green

Here is the card I made for the SUO Challenge 40. The heading is It's Fun Being Green. Well, I struggled to produce an all Green card as I have already made one for St. Patricks Day, so I mixed in a little Daffodil Delight, after all I have never seen a green sun. And, it just seemed to go together nicely.

Supplies:

Old Olive Card and Designer Paper
Daffodil Delight Card and Designer Paper
Old Olive and Daffodil Delight ink
Up Up and Away stamp set
Large Star Punch for Sun Beams?
Circle punch 1 1/4"
Circle Punch 3/4"

Clean and Simple Christmas 2011

Here are the Clean and Simple Christmas cards I made for my class this year. Each one of them is using the same colours, Whisper White, Real Red and Old Olive. The first set of cards is using the Pennant Parade stamp from Stampin Up. The second lot of cards is using the 2 step bird punch from Stampin Up to create a wreath. (Using the leaves - Branch part only).

All in the Family - Birthday

I forgot to add these cards to my blog when I posted the other All in the family cards. I have used the same colours as the All in the Family - Thank You post below, just a few little changes here and there.

All in the Family - Thank you

This card is one that I am making my class make next Monday. I'm sure they are really going to love me for this one. Lets hope they all remember to bring their Stamp a ma jig's with them. I used two of the in colours from Stampin up, including Lucky limeade and Wisteria Wonder. Included below is a list of other items I have used to create this little wonder. By the way, the original idea came from Lynn Putt of The Queens Scene. Awesome, awesome work.
