Just Believe 156

 

Here is my submission for the latest Mojo Sketch 156.

I have used all stampin Up products including:

Basic Grey ink and cardstock

Baja Breeze cardstock

Pear Pizzazz cardstock

Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper

Clear buttons and ribbon

Homework finished

 

So, I thought it may be easier to show you what the finished product looks like, before you start scratching your head in confusion, as I did when I re read my previous post. You can click on the picture to enlarge. I have finished the left hand side of the sheet, and whenever I make a card using the sketch, I will include the colour on the right hand side. A bit of a reference sheet really.

Hope it makes a little bit more sense now. Have a play, you may find it useful!

There is a mouse in the house

For this weeks class, I made some handouts with a mojo sketch and an example of a card I had previously made printed on it.
My class then had to reproduce the card, using the sketch supplied.
For homework, aah, I asked them to make two other cards using the same sketch. I will place a download link for the handout I made, in case you want to give it a go as well. When you download the sheet, you will find it blank. The first large square is to cut out a sketch and adhere it for a sketch reference. (I use mojo) and the second large square is to either place an example of a finished card for reference, or you could include another sketch if you want to. The smaller squares on the bottom of the sheet is for a 3/4” circle punch. I punched out the colours I used from the scrap card stock and stuck them on the sheet also. So now my class has: a sketch of the card, an example of the card and a colour combination which was used to make the final card. When the first sheet is finished, there are three different colour combinations that they can use, (whenever they make a card). Hope this all makes some sense. Oops almost forgot, when you print the document above, either print as is for a normal size binder, or as I do, my desk is too messy for a large folder, so I print and change the settings to multiple pages, cut them in half and insert them into my little folder. Mojo Sketch week 75

Here is my submission for the February 2009 Week 75 Mojo Sketch Challenge. I think I missed the deadline. Oh well, there really is no time limit. Just have fun. The photos here show the sketch on the left, the front of my card in the middle, and the inside of my card on the right. I really like this sketch and I think I will be using it a lot more. I also used one of my Penny Black stamps. Naturally, all paper is from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking.

My Mojo 155

Here is my Mojo Sketch 155 card. I have again made a card using the new stamp set called Baby Bundle. I really like this stamp set. I have also used some of the Hostess Paper Pack designer papers and some of the papers out of the Simply Scrappin kit for girls. It almost looks like the sketch on the left.....

Here is the tutorial that I finally finished this morning from, you guessed it. Demo to Demo. And I might say, another fantastic tutorial. All I need to do now is to find some photos, and away I go. There is a link on the right hand side bar of my blog. If you click on that, you will go straight to Andrea’s site. She has many more tutorials available as well. Not just the ones I have done.

 

Here are a few of the pages I have made for the album. The front cover is really cool, although I am having some blogger problems as the moment It is not letting me add photos. Really annoying. Anyway, if you check out demo to demo, you will see the finished album. Really must see what the problem is here.

T Slider Card

Here is my attempt at a T Slider Card. The instructions for making this card can be found here:

It's a lot of fun to make, and can be adapted in several ways. I used a digital stamp image from Dustin Pyke. I really like his images, really great for using the blender pen and ink pads. I forgot to mention that I made one small alteration. I put another tab punch on the T Bar slider so I can pull on this, instead of relying solely on the one that closes the flap. I really hope that this makes sense. I think it will when you make one.

Tart and Tangy

This little set here is one from Demo to Demo. There is a link on the right hand side of my blog to direct you straight there. It used the Tart and Tangy set from Stampin Up. Andreas' tutorial gives you exact cutting instructions for each card (wasting very minimal papers) and includes instructions for a little storage box as well. I use Andrea's tutorials a lot as they are so easy to follow.

Easy Pages

Okay so here is the deal. This is the 99% foolproof way of scrapbooking, and the step I take to overcome the dreaded 'writters block'. Firstly, I log into smilebox. I use this program because I can see exactly what the overall pages are going to look like. Secondly, I choose the layout, I am trying to create. I then pick the theme I like, choose from hundreds. (That is the hardest part). I then click on the personalize button, select which photos I want in the album and save. It is all done. Now, because I am a Stampin Up demonstrator, I like to use Stampin Up products whenever possible. My next step is to grab the Designer papers and embellishments from Stampin Up that come close or match the pages above and use the pages above as a template for my Stampin Up pages. Easy really.

The best thing about scrappin this way, is there is no wasted designer paper. (I can tell be the pages I have already created what paper goes where). I can select the right photos to match the papers and instantly save hours and hours of procrastination, should this paper go here or should I put it there, what colours should I use etc. I'm sure you all know exactly what I mean by this. So, there is a link on the left for the smilebox program. I can guarantee you, this is the fastest and easiest way to whip out a few pages you can ever find. This is my system, It works for me, I hope it works for you too.

Nearly forgot. If I was to use the left image as my page, I would use the following colours. (Just to give an example) Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and a strip of a blue maybe Pacific Blue, Tempting Turquoise or something like that. You see, it really is easy.
