So before the Celebration for Christmas happens in our house, usually there is a Christmas Concert or two that needs attending, apart from the Christmas Cocktail Parties, Block Parties and the wrapping of presents. Here is a page I finished to show Daniel in his first Christmas Concert in Primary school. He was one of the shepherds. As you can see by the dressing gown and tea towel, costumes were not really difficult. Slowly, but surely, (2002) I am catching up with my scrapbooking.

Clean and Simple Christmas 2011
Here are the Clean and Simple Christmas cards I made for my class this year. Each one of them is using the same colours, Whisper White, Real Red and Old Olive. The first set of cards is using the Pennant Parade stamp from Stampin Up. The second lot of cards is using the 2 step bird punch from Stampin Up to create a wreath. (Using the leaves - Branch part only).
Fifth Avenue Floral 2
Here is the second card we are making for our Fifth Avenue Floral Class.
Here they are all together. Sorry for not blogging these earlier girls, but had to fight my 18 year old to get the computer off him. lol. I should have sent him off driving somewhere.
So for all the girls that have attended my classes all year, have a safe
MERRY CHRISTMAS
&
HAPPY NEW YEAR
See you all back in 2012.
Fifth Avenue Floral
This is the last card we, as a class, are making for 2011. I thought we would end the year with a bang, a little bit of water colouring, a bit of cutting and a bit of die cutting. They are going to love me for this. lol. I have not used these colours before, so I thought I would give them a go. The colours we are using are:
Calypso Coral
Lucky Limeade
Crumb Cake
I really wish that Blogger would give you more colour options :)
Below is a close up of the water colouring. Pretty Cool, if I do say so myself.
Teacher - Thank you
I have made this card for one of Nathan's Teachers as a thank you for a great year. No guessing what the teacher was teaching though. Yes, you guessed right, it was Automotive.
The image came from www.karensdoodles.com, (I hope). If not I will edit this post when I gather all the details. So here is the close up of the image. The card stock consisted of the following.
Not Quite Navy
Real Red
Old Olive

Stampin Royalty - Anything but a card
This is the very first time I have submitted a scrapbook page into a challenge, so I will see how we go. It is definitely not the best set of pictures I could have used, but they are part of Daniel's progress, and that is something that I have to document. I have used Becky Higgins Project life papers, although I did a little photoshop with the background paper. The template came from Crystal Wilkerson.

Friday Mashup - Challenge 34- Here come the Boys
I made this card for the Friday Mashup Challenge 34. The deal was to use Chocolate, Aqua, (taken with Teal) and White. Although technically, Santa wears a red suit, I can see him chilling out in a bit of aqua every now and then after the business end of the year is over. The colours I have used are all Stampin up, including Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and the retired Taken with Teal. You can't tell, but there is a chocolate Chip button on the greeting.
Here is a close up of the colouring. I have used my Copic markers for the colouring and the Digital Stamp comes from Sassy Cheryl's. Oops I almost forgot to enter this card in the Here Come the Boys blog challenge. Here are the details: http://www.herecometheboysblogchallenge.blogspot.com/

Something a little different
Well, it would seem that I have not done any scrapbooking for a while now, and it is the thing I love doing the most, so I thought I would post my most recent page layout for you to see. The page is a double spread layout 24' x 12'.
Okay, so you will notice that the date on the bottom of this page is 2002. That would mean that in another months time, I will be exactly 10 years behind. I think I had better try a little harder in future. There you go, my first New Years Resolution.
The template came from Crystal Wilkerson
The Designer Paper came from Becky Higgins - Project Life
Color Throwdown 169
Here is my card I am using for this weeks Color Throwdown. Awesome colours, although I did really struggle including the Baja Breeze. Not my most favorite colour in the Stampin Up range. The image came from Sassy Cheryl's. She has the cutest images. I am in love with all of them.

All in the Family - Birthday
I forgot to add these cards to my blog when I posted the other All in the family cards. I have used the same colours as the All in the Family - Thank You post below, just a few little changes here and there.

Paper Players Challenge #73
Here is the card I have made for the Paper Players this week. The theme was a clean and simple challenge using Night of Navy, Whisper White and Silver. Click link below for details
I embossed the stamped image and the sentiment on the bottom of the card, used a little piece of acetate to cover my image to give it a little bit of a shine and silver thread to wrap around the brads. I am really happy with the way that this card turned out. Again, I apologise for the crappy photo.
Woo hoo. My Christmas card earned me an award. So very happy. Thank You.

Sail Away FMS10
Here is the card I have made for this weeks challenge from Freshly Made Sketches # 10. www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. I have used the Stamp set The Open Sea, which is available 1st December from from the new Summer Mini Catalogue. I really like this stamp set. So this is more or less a little sneak preview of whats to come.
So, it's not exactly like the sketch, but it is pretty close in the design. I have just added a few little other bits and pieces.

The cards we really made Monday
So, Sunday afternoon I decided that I was still going to use the stamp set All in the Family by Stampin Up, but I thought I would go easy on the girls and refresh their memories on using the Stamp a ma jig. So instead of the previous card I posted for the class preview, I decided on this one instead. I also used Bashful Blue, Marina Mist (my favourite), the word window, and the two square punches. The inspiration for these cards came from the very talented Andrea Karadimos from Sydney. You can check out her blog here:
Here is a closer look at the card. Stamp a ma jig heaven. The colours I used here are:
Watercolor paper
Pink Pirouette card stock
Pretty in Pink card stock

Flower Fancy - Thank you
This is the first card I have ever made using vellum. Don't ask me why? It just never crossed my mind. I thought I would make a few more cards using this flower fancy set before I must return it to its owner. I'm now thinking I probably should add this set to my wish list. Boy is that getting long.
