Retired, but not forgotten

How can you go past this stamp set when making new baby (or toddler) cards. I am in love with this stamp set at the moment. There are so many things you can make. Here is a few of the cards I have made using the Colour my world watch and sketch. It makes card making so much quicker now that I have the colours and sketches sorted once and for all. I used the Washington Apple designer paper, which I use alot and the co ordinating card stock. Gotta love that everything goes together. I just have to make the box that these cards will fit into and I will post this when it is finished. Thanks for looking.

My first digital page

This is the way we spent Easter this year. Drinking, talking and laughing. What other way is there?

This is my very first Digital Scrapbook page. Well actually, I cheated a bit. It's a template design, I added the pictures and patterned paper.

http://www.designerdigitals.com/

I love using the templates as a guide for 'traditional' scrapbooking as well, as I can see what the layout is going to look like, before I start hacking into my patterned papers.

Colour my World

I created this little booklet because I was having trouble coming up with colour combinations for my cards. Now all I have to do is open the pages, and there the colours are, ready for my card.

I am trying to put a link to the download so everyone can download a copy for themselves, although I do ask that nobody copies or reproduces the booklet for anything other than their private use. I know you will all understand.

This kit includes 42 cards in total. 7 cards are like index cards to you can arrange your booklet in any way you desire.

The link for the download is:      Colour my world download
I am currently working on a few more ideas that are and will link in with the Colour My World kit.

I hope you enjoy. Please leave me some feedback for the next project.

I have posted this file in Splitcoast Stampers as well. The file is under > Stamping Stuff > Downloads > Lists and Charts you can search Colour My World. I hope to have the next section ready soon.

New Catalogue now available

Wow, I can't believe that it is April already. Stampin Up have released their new catalogue with heaps of amazing products. New clear stamps, designer papers, embelishments and even a Big Shot machine with heaps of dies to go with it. I, personally, can't wait to get my hands on all of them. I love the way that Stampin Up really listen to what the demonstrators are requesting and try to accommodate everyone with the products. Good job.

Faux Embossing Folder

This is the technique card we finished last Monday. All the girls seemed to enjoy this one. I must admit, I will be using this technique quite often from now on.

All of the technique cards and ideas you see on my blog, usually come from Splitcoast Stampers, the most valuable website I have ever used. Sooooo many ideas and tips. Check it out, listed under my favorites.

Faux Tearing Technique

I had a lot of fun doing this technique. I used my Brayer for the first time and one of my many favorite stamp sets. Yes, another one, and naturally, what seems to be my right arm, the Stamp-a-ma-jig. Another extremely useful product from Stampin Up.The cardstock is Old Olive, Chocolate Chip with Whisper White. The ink pads are as above, and including Pacific Point. Brads and Ribbons come standard.

Faux Tearing

Carefully tear the scrap paper. Add soft waves if so desired. Apply removable adhesive to the back of the scrap paper. Adhere scrap paper to cardstock. Ink a brayer and then apply ink to cardstock until the cardstock has the color you are looking for. Stamp over the brayered section. Pull off your scrap paper and remove adhesive residue.

Blender Pens Technique

Here is another Technique card for my classes. I would personally like to thank Kim for the colour inspiration. Check out her blog listed under my favorites.

Love the colours in the card now, I was having trouble trying to find the right colours that would go with the Cameo Coral. Thankfully, kim worked this out for me. Other cardstock is Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue.

It's not a brilliant photo, sorry about that.

The stamp is from a Penny Black stamp, I have had forever. I really so love this stamp. I thought It would be a great stamp to show off this technique as her dress is gorgeous.

I will fix this photo and re post the changes when I am happy with it, as those who know me, know I will not be happy with it until I do.
Okay, all better now

Faux Framing

Here is the first technique card that I have done with my Stampin Girls.

The card reads:

Create a mask from copy paper by cutting a shape such as a square, rectangle or oval using a punch, coluzzle or hobby blade and straight edge. Use temporary adhesive to attach mask to neutral cardstock. Sponge inside the mask, shading darker toward the edges. Stamp images inside the mask allowing them to overlap onto mask. Remove mask from cardstock. Complete the card.

Here is the card that we made to attach to the back of the technique card.
We then place the card inside a A5 plastic pocket and then into a A5 folder.

When you want to make a card or use a certain technique, grab your folder and away you go :)

Good Neighbour

Here is my latest creation, using the Sale-a-bration stamp set. Good Neighbours.

The designer paper I have used here is the Urban Garden range, which I just love.

The cardstock is Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Going Grey and Baja Breeze.

The ribbon is Kiwi Kiss and Going Grey.

I am working on a technique book with my regular stamping girls, I will post some of the pages when I have completed them.

Bodacious Weekend Part 2

Here is Part 2 of my Bodacious Weekend.

Again, this card is cased straight from Splitcoast Stampers. The only thing I changed was the colour. I will edit this post, when I find out who I cased this from. Wow, I found this one too. The lady who I cased this card from is, Glittergal. Check out her galley on Splitcoast Stampers

The inks I used are:
Old Olive
Rose Red
Regal Rose

The cardstock was matched to the same colour ink and the greeting is from the SAB catalogue.

Bodacious Weekend

Don't you just hate it when you have too many stamps. I found this set in my stash, and if you can believe this, it was UNOPENED.

So my first step, naturally, was to open the set.

I searched through Splitcoast Stampers and found these amazing cards, so I thought I would case them. When I find out who the original lady was that created these cards, I will edit this post. Okay, I found it. Kirstysb is the talented lady, check out her gallery.

What a totally awesome use of the stamps in the Bodacious Bouquet set.

February Classes

Well class began in full swing this month. These are the little gift cards that we are making for our first class. There is also a box that we are making to hold the cards. The stamps that we used are, of course, Pun Fun. As I have mentioned before, I love this stamp set.

The papers are from the Jersey Shore Designer Paper range. inks that I used to water colour the images are:

re designing my stampin room

After posting the pictures of my stampin room, I received a comment from kiwi jules regarding the fading of my cardstock. When I looked closely at my card, I discovered that it had indeed started to fade a little. So I was in for another shift. This is what I came up with. Hope you like it.

This picture is where I have now housed my cardstock. I can shut the door and keep it in the dark. No more fading cardstock I hope. I can't imagine how much it would cost to replace all of my cardstock, so once again, thanks kiwi jules for your information. I will post some more photos at a later date, when I finish everything.
The picture to the left is of the items that I use for workshops and my craft mornings only. I have other items that I use for personal. I find that my items last longer If I have seperate ones. everything is pretty accessible and I can see at a glance what I have to re stock. It's a very easy organising system, that at the moment is working well.

Crazy for Cupcakes

I made this card for my grandmothers 89th birthday. I really like this stamp set as well. Okay, I will confess. I love them all :) I used the wide Chocolate Chip Ribbon on this card because I like laying the ribbon flat across the card, I find this size ribbon is difficult to tie into bows or knots. The Designer Paper is called Candy Lane, by Stampin Up. I also used the co-ordinating cardstock to match the designer paper. I also have another confession. I am addicted to blogging. Take care. Have a great night.

Here is another birthday card I have made using the Crazy for cupcakes stamp set. Again, I love this set and I adore the designer paper. Sorry that the photography is not that great.

Stipple Rose

I made these cards a while ago now, using the Stipple Rose stamp set and en francis background stamp. The card stock I used was mellow moss, pale plum and perfect plum. Not to mention or course, whisper white.

I used the spellbinders dies to create the oval scallop, I also used the SU scallop edge punch. I used the co-ordinating marker pens to colour the image.

More pun fun

I thought I would share my weekend project with you. It's a little book where I can keep track of all those birthdays' that I must remember. I downloaded the free template from http://www.papertrey.com/ and with a few minor adjustment, hey presto. Hope you like it :)

Once again I have used the Pun Fun stamp set. This time I stamped the images onto watercolour paper and cut them all out individually, carefully placing them on top of each other. The paper I used for the book was left overs (scraps) that I had. I knew I would use them somewhere.

My Space

I thought I would place some picture of the most used room in my house. Of course, that does not include the kitchen. :)

My little stampin space has everything I need to create. My roller trolley on the far left hold all of the current Stampin' Up! stamps and the one on the right holds everything from chipboard to rubons and anything else I need to work. Ha, I said work. I should have said play.

I will upload some more photos when I clean the area. Toooooo messy at the moment.

Step Stair Cards

This would have to be my favorite stamp set from Stampin Up. It is the Wild about You set which contains a total of 8 stamps. I have used this stampset on a number of cards, but this card is also my favorite.

Kaiser Train Tidy

I saw this kit in one of the few remaining scrapbooking shops we have that are local, and just had to have it. It is the cutest little ptoject I have completed thus far. Like many other crafting people, I have a lot of unfinished projects. One day. I haven't actually made this for anyone in particular, but it rests on top of my craft desk, and basically just looks good.
