Inlaid Thanks

Thanks 1

So, for those who couldn't make class this morning, here is what you missed out on. We made an inlaid embossed card using all Stampin Up products. We also made a technique card to place in our binders as well. I found this card while checking out the challenges for last week, and thought that this card style would be great for a class.

Thanks

Lazy Saturday

P1020561
Here is the card that I made this afternoon. I saw this card in the latest edition of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine, and although I didn't have any of the listed items, I decided I would try and turn the card into a Stampin Up card. I am really pleased with the way it turned out. I am now going to try and convert the other card in the magazine to Stampin Up. So all credit for these designs come from Rachael Merrick.

P1020562
Pumpkin Pie
Chocolate Chip
So Saffron
Whisper White
Coloured Buttons to co ordinate with card stock
White Gel Pen for Faux Stitching
Spellbinders Die
Copic Markers

And for the life of me, I can not remember what this stamp set is called. When my memory comes back, I will fix this post. So, Please, if anyone knows, comment and let me know what it is so I can list it. Thanks. Okay, I remember now after searching on Google. (Gotta luv Google). Bundle of Joy is the stamp set I used here. Retired, but still in my collection of stamps.

Stepping Out

Here is my second card using the Build a Roo from Stampin Up. I saw this style of step card on the net and decided I had better have a go at making one. The template I used came from Creative Moments with Sandy.

I have used Chocolate Chip (Still my favorite), Pretty in Pink, Real Red and Whisper White.

Colour Throwdown - Mojo

This is the first card that I have made with the Build a Roo set from Stampin Up. I am going to try and make five cards using this set. The colours came from the Colour Throwdown Challenge and the card design came from the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. The colours are Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Certainly Celery. I have stamped my Kangaroo in Staz on Ink and used my copic markers for colouring.

One for Dad

Here is the latest card I have made for my boys to give to their father for either Birthday or Fathers Day. Not quite sure which one as yet, because they are only one month apart. We Australians celebrate Fathers Day in September, so I guess I am ahead with this one.

I used Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Whisper White and Real Red. I am quite hooked on these colours at the moment. I used matching Designer papers, label punch cut in half, string for the button, real red brads and a button that I found in my stash, that just happened to have the right colours in it. I was going to use some of my On Board letters, but I pulled out and dusted off my Cricut machine and cut the letters from Night of Navy Designer Paper instead. I can't believe I have not used my Cricut for such a long time now. Almost two years. Wow. Is that a sign of having toooooo much stuff or what?

I have used the inspiration of Verve Stamps for this card, although when I look at the original to the finished card here, there really isn't much that is the same.

Happy Mothers Day

I thought I had better start posting some cards for the month of May. Apart from being away on Holidays, and having Easter, My Birthday and Mothers Day, life has been pretty hectic. Something had to give. Although I am back now and ready to go. Here is the card I made for my Mother-in-law for Mothers Day. I used the Elements of style stamp set, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Marina Mist card stock and everything else Stampin Up.

Dino Birthday

This little fellow is yet another Dustin Pike digital stamp. I am actually going to enter this one on Dustins' challenge blog. I have used Pumpkin Pie card stock together with the birthday roller wheel from Stampin up, to create, somewhat, of designer paper for the background. I used Dustins' digital dino and balloons and also my trusty sewing machine for the balloon strings and little border around the card. Hope you like it.

Celebrate Friends

This is the first stamp I have used from Lori Designs. It is sooooo cute. I chose, Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist, Whisper White and Old Olive as my colours so I could enter this card in a challenge. Here are the details:

The Bently Connection

Okay, so I woke up this morning, and this little picture was waiting for me in my inbox. AWESOME. It seems that Bently and I have a great connection going on here. I have used him in both challenges I have entered with Bugaboo and have won one, and placed in the other one. Damn, he's a fine little fellow. I am really happy to get this award, and extremely surprised at the same time.  Thank you.

New Bugaboo Challenge

This card here is for the new bugaboo challenge - 4 layers or more, for this week. I enjoy the challenges because it give you a reason to sit down, relax and enjoy creating. Thanks for looking.

Pocket Organiser

Here is another page from my Digital Organiser I am currently making. Apart from the A4 pages, including the binder index card and colouring page, I will be including a template so you can have a pocket version as well. I will be adding spiral binding to the pages, but I am not finished putting all the pages in as yet. I am using a ring clip. So here are the first three pages of the Bugaboo Section for you to look at. I am almost ready for the template to be down loadable. I just want to make sure it is right first. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the dimensions for this pocket organiser is 2.5" x 5". Perfect for you scrap / crop bag.

Introducing Donna

I thought I would introduce you all to Donna. I grabbed this digi stamp from Tiddlyinks. Really cute. I also used the colour coach from stampin up for the colour scheme. The main card colour is Basic Grey.

Easter Wishes

I made this card yesterday using a bugaboo stamps digital image. Actually it was a freebie. I was going to just use Daffodil Delight only, but i decided that the pink highlighted the bunnies as well.

Anything Goes Challenge

So on the Bugaboo Challenge site this week is a 'anything goes' project. I am not sure whether this project I am making quite qualifies for this heading, but I am going to post it anyway. This is going to be my catalogue for my digital stamps. (Mainly so I can keep track of them.) I have coloured in the stamps, using my favorite colours as the first page, and the second page has the colours again, with the copic marker numbers listed below the colour swatches. When I make a card, I will place a sample of the card on the 'cardstock' section of the page also. Hopefully, in about 10 years, I will have an A4 folder, full of index cards and colouring examples so I can refer to them. Being a Bugaboo Challenge, I thought my first page should be a bugaboo stamp, and I just adore Bently. After a few test runs, I hope to have a free download on my blog if required.

Inkspirations Challenge 2

Here is the second card I have made using the Inkspirations Colour Challenge. I am really liking these colours together. I think I may turn this into a class card as well.

Inkspirations Challenge 1

I made this card for the Inkspirations Colour Challenge for this week. I actually really like these colours together, although, probably not ones that I would have used if not for a challenge. But having said that, I have already made two cards for this challenge, and LOVE the colours. I used my favorite stamp set from Stampin Up, Just Believe and also my new butterfly sizzix embossing die. Really cute. If you pop on over to Inkspirations you will find the challenge there. The link is on my side bar.

Mojo Sketch 180

I made this little fellow from a digital image from Tiddlyink.com for the latest Mojo Monday Sketch. I used my copic markers for the colouring, Stampin Up Designer Papers and my Quickutz soccer ball die. I thought this little soccer ball fitted in well, considering it is a soccer themed card. All I need to do now, is find someone who plays soccer.

OOPS, I was meant to say I made this card for Sketch 184. Not 180.

Honourable Mention

Just checked the inspirations site to see the new challenge for this week, and to my surprise Mono Clyde received a honourable mention. Way to go Clyde :)

Working Class Bot

Here is another card I have made using the sketch challenge from Inkspirations. It is the same as the Mono Clyde card sketch. I will enter this one in the Inkspiration Challenge, although I am not sure how many cards you are allowed to enter. The colours consist of Old Olive, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Real Red. The card is a 5 x 5 card size made from Whisper White. This little image came from tiddlyinks. I have been looking at this little fellow for quite some time now, and finally decided that I would add him to my collection of digital stamps.

Mono Clyde

Here is the card I have made for the Bugaboo Challenge this week. It is making a card using only one colour. (Monochromatic). I usually don't make green cards, but it seemed to really suit this digital stamp. I love these challenges. The sketch for this card came from the Inkspirations Sketch Challenge for this week. I am doing two challenges in one here.

Another Bunny

This little fellow is from Dustin. I used my copic markers for the colouring and stampin up papers for the card and embellishments.

More Bently

I liked the other Bently card so much, I just had to make another one with the scraps I had left over. All paper is from Stampin up and the image of Bently is from the talented bugaboo stamps.

Check this out

I opened my emails this morning and look what I found. Thank you so much Bugaboo and Bently of course. I came first in the Bugaboo Challenge. Awesome. Time to go shopping for some more Digital Images.
