What is Old, is New Again

Over at Stampin Royalty this week, there is a bit of a special challenge. It's kind of like a second chance at fixing a card you were not all that happy with at the time. Well, I can certainly say, that this card of mine below, is one that I am not too happy with. So here is is....

Firstly, here is the original challenge.

Here is the card I created for the challenge. (It was good at the time) lol. I think the more I look at it, the worse it is becoming....

And, here is my new card. I had to change the colours slightly, as Not quite Navy has been discontinued. So, I used Night of Navy instead. I just love this stamp set with the cats. They are so cute.

So, if you have a card you would like to re do. Pop over to Stampin Royalty and let us all have a look. There are some great cards over there. Full of inspiration.

Update...Coffee, Coffee, Coffee.

Well it seems that my coffee card is a winner, over at pals paper arts. Thank you all so very much.
It was an amazing sketch, and loads of fun. I'm sure I will be using this sketch for many cards to come. See you next week, hopefully.

Voila - love life

Well, here is a blast from the past. I was sorting out my older wooden stamps the other day, and I came across this little fellow. Although he is retired now, he is still pretty amazing. I'm quite sure that this card will be entered into the Freshly made sketches challenge this week, although I am cutting it a bit fine. Oh, yes. I rotated the sketch so my image would fit in properly.
This card would be perfect for an apprentice chef or someone who really loves cooking.

I finally had some time to play in my craft room this week. I found this sketch challenge over at http://www.palspaperarts.com so I thought I would play along. I can assure you, it has been a while since I made a card for a challenge.

Picture inspiration time.

This week over at Stampin Royalty we have a picture inspiration challenge for you to try. I bet you can not guess which picture inspired my card. It's a little tricky. And, I must say, I think I nailed it.
Pop on over to stampin Royalty and have a look at what the other girls came up. They are a very talented bunch.

Argh! My blogger not working...

So, I guess it is better late than ever, as they say. I have been having a few issues with my blog lately, but, I think I have rectified the problem. I hope, I have rectified the problem. Here is the card I made for last weeks challenge at Stampin Royalty. Although the challenge is done and dusted, I thought I would add my card anyway.

I had fun with the MDS program from Stampin Up to create the image for my card. The colours are Real Red, Basic Black and Basic Grey. That is pretty much it for this one. Quite simple.

Im not too sure how these are going to look on my blog, but I will post them. Hopefully they are not too big and slow my blog down too much.

Water Colouring

Oh dear, I got so excited that I actually finished this card, that I forgot to blog it!!!!

So, here it is, in all its glory. Over at Stampin Royalty this week, we have a very talented lady, Stasia, and she has challenged us all to design a card using water colours. So after searching my entire craft room, for where I placed my very limited supply of water colour paper, I pulled out my Stampin Up markers and my blender pen, and went to work. Head on over to the Stampin Royalty site and check out what the others have come up with. Challenge yourself and upload your picture to the blog, you may even win.

Joke Time

Wife: "How would you describe me?"
Husband: "ABCDEFGHIJK."
Wife: "What does that mean?"
Husband: "Adorable, beautiful, cute, delightful, elegant, fashionable, gorgeous, and hot."
Wife: "Aw, thank you, but what about IJK?"
Husband: "I'm just kidding!"

hahahahaha. I thought this was funny

More owls?

Well, I'm back from a relaxing holiday and ready for some craft time. My first project after a brief break for Stampin royalty is a picture inspiration, and I must confess, I just love looking at this picture.

Isn't this picture just adorable. I love the grey and orange together. I'm actually wishing my bedroom looked like the one pictured, but alas, it does not. Here is my card for this challenge, and believe me, this little fellow is made from Smokey Slate, although it looks on the brownish side.

Isn't this owl so cute. Unfortunately, I can take no credit what so ever, but..... if you follow this link here addinktivedesigns. You will be able to make your own little owls, and believe me, you will have to make at least one. So pop on over to the Stampin Royalty blog and have a go at our challenge this week.

Back on the Project Life 2015

I thought I would share my cover page for 2015 with you.

Here is the cover page, straight off the Project life App for iPad and iPhone. (Unfortunately, no Android version yet, but soon). If your new to Project life, here is a little bit of information for you.

LIVE YOUR LIFE. DOCUMENT YOUR STORY. THE ALL-NEW PROJECT LIFE APP.

Imagine scrapbooking from start to finish, without scissors or adhesive or tools… or without having to print photos! Never before has scrapbooking been so easy, so fast, or so available in the palm of your hand. You can literally create pages while traveling, waiting for a doctor’s appointment, even laying in bed. The Project Life® App takes simplicity to a whole new level.
Be sure to follow @BeckyHigginsLLC for regular inspiration or search #ProjectLifeApp on social media.

When you have finished your layout on the Project Life App, simply print as a 12x12 page or do as I have been doing. I simply print as a 12x12 page and then cut the photos up so I can clip them into the pocket pages.

Okay, so its not the best picture, but here is my cover all cut up and inserted into the pockets. Cool! If your looking for more information regarding Project Life, have a look at Becky Higgins Site.

The kit I have used for this layout is called Good Times Value Kit. Here is a sneaky peak at what is in this kit. Courtesy of my IPad.

Project life cards

We have a picture inspiration this week over at Stampin Royalty. I thought I would have a turn at trying to make some filler and Journal cards for my Project Life Album. I will have to update with better photos. Sorry. I used the remaining of my Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder, with a little dash of Whisper White. I used the Stampin Up project life cutters and the stamp set I went with was Stipples Blossoms. Go check out the other cards the rest of the design team made, I am totally blown away with their talent! They are amazing!!

Silver all the way

Oooooh. Look who I dragged out again. I just can't get enough of this little owl. He is so darn cute. I made this card for the challenge over at Stampin Royalty which is a silver challenge. Although you can't see the paper properly, it is in actual fact Stampin Up's Silver paper. Head on over to Stampin Royalty and see what the other girls came up with. Im sure there are cards and projects worthy of casing.

Winter Kisses

Here is the new Rubber Stamp from Sherry called Winter Kisses. Isn't she just adorable. If you pop on over to A Random Fan she is available for purchase from Sherry's store. Have a look at what the other girls have done with this image also. Very talented bunch of ladies.

My Little Ballerina - Monochromatic

Over at A RANDOM FAN this week, we have a Monochromatic challenge for you to play along with. Here is my card using, yet again, Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder. I have used Sherry's Digital image called My Little Ballerina. I really love this stamp. So, head on over to the Random Fan site, play along with the latest challenge, and who knows, this little cutie may just end up in your shopping cart for FREE.

Its all FRILLY

Here is my card for the challenge this week over at STAMPIN ROYALTY and its all about making a project with frills. Do you know how had this is, especially when you have three males in the family, that do not do anything frilly. So I used my Blendabilities with this stamp from Stampin Up, called Blended Bloom. I matched the colouring with Wisteria Wonder card stock and designer paper and also a hint of Concord Crush, previously retired. Head on over to Stampin royalty and make something frilly for the challenge.

Sketch Saturday featuring A Random Fan

I made this card for the Sketch Saturday challenge and totally forgot to email it through! Wow, my head had been everywhere else lately. So here is the card I made. I think I will have to upload it directly to the Sketch Saturday blog now.

Craft Room - All together

Finally, I have finished the back wall of my craft room. The final piece of the puzzle came together when I used the large drawer unit to put all my Stampin Up stamps in. I can fit lots of them in the drawers, which leaves a whole shelf in the wardrobe free.

And finally, here is the completed back wall of my room. It looks like a lot of stuff, but its not really! I'm trying to convince myself!!! So when I am creating something, I am standing with my back to this wall, so everything is in arms reach. Perfect! No more digging into boxes, not using the right embellishment, because I couldn't find it. No more double purchases!

Well! Thanks for putting up with my ranting about my craft room.
Hopefully the next post will include a project or two!
Oh, and in case you are wondering! I have a tiny room. Its about 4 meters square. And there is heaps more to show you in later posts.

Craft Room Makeover - Part 4

Yes! I am still sorting out my craft room. Here is what I did this morning.
I stacked all of my MOST USED stamps in my shelves. I am a visual crafter, so I need to see what I have. It also saves me a lot of money, as I have a few duplicates!!!

Here is the top section. AND here is the bottom Embellishment section.
I made this unit quite a while ago now, and it has been the best thing I have made.

Apart from the tins, covered with designer paper. the jars an containers came from Target. I am loving the chalkboard labels.

Here it is all together! Very handy item, I must say!

Here is a close up of the embellishment section!
Buttons, ribbons, pencils, Roller stamp, and my chook!
