95th Birthday

Here is my card for the http://www.stampinroyalty.blogspot.com.au challenge #161 (Birthday).

Another Special card for another special person. Our Aunty Cath has just turned, yes you guessed it, 95 years of age. Wow. Such an achievement for such a wonderful person. It is also cased from my previous polka dot card with a few minor alterations.

SR Polka Dots

The theme for this card is Polka Dots. http://www.stampinroyalty.blogspot.com.au

The reason for this card, is a special friends birthday was celebrated earlier this month and this was the card I made for her. I found this card on Pinterest, (loving Pinterest) and decided to make a few subtle changes. I have used the stamp set Simply Soft, card stock Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.

Project Life Week 1a

Woohoo. Here is the first page of many for my Project Life 2013 album. I am really enjoying this process of taking photos, usually on my iPhone, streaming them to my computer, and having them ready to print. So amazingly easy to do. A lot easier than I thought it would be.

Project Life 2013

Well, I have taken the plunge and stepped into the world of Project Life 2013.
This is my first page that I am using for my cover. I am also hoping to try and keep up to date with this project, although not every week will be random photos. I have decided to pick an event of two for the week, or month, and scrap that as well. My first page is dedicated to my garden. Because we are having some amazingly hot weather in Australia at the moment, it's great to get out into the garden and pull some weeds. This is usually what we do in the first week of the new year. I hope to add some more pages soon. I am creating a digital version of Project Life, then printing the pages and placing them into  albums because in Australia, we have no access to project life, well not until April of this year anyway.

Monster Birthday Bash

This weeks challenge at http://www.stampinroyalty.blogspot.com.au is a sketch challenge. I love to use sketches because they take all the placement problems away from card making. If you are like me, I swap and change the layout of my card and embellishments about a hundred times before I finally stick them down. I have used the Make a A Monster set from Stampin up and the card stock (away from my comfort colours) is all stampin up also. Hop on over to the Stampin Royalty site, have a go at the sketch and post so we can all share. I also found some old google eyes that I stuck on the monsters too.

SR #158 Picture Inspiration

This week at Stampin Royalty, we have a picture for your inspiration. So look at the picture, and take any of the items from that picture and create a card. I have taken the colours as my inspiration, using Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, whisper White and Bashful Blue. The stamp set I have used in an old one (sorry), but it is a great one for colouring with. Check out what the other Designers over at Stampin Royalty have come up with.

The last one. Promise

So, this is the last set of pictures of my craft room. I thought I had better include my crafting budding in this one as well. She is usually in here with me when I am creating. Now off to start on the third part of my New Years Resolutions.

Sorted Room 3

Here are the photos of my immediate work area. Looking back at all the posts relating to my room, it looks huge. Really it is not very big at all. It is only about 3m x 3m. My craft room is located directly off our living room, which is another terrific reason to have this room sorted and organised. It could be a bit embarrassing if it looked like a war zone.

I promise, the last photo collection will be the last. :) (until I decide to change it again) lol.....

Sorted Room 2

Here is the second selection of photos of my Sorted craft room.
I decided to blog these photos in the format that I have, mainly because there are so many photos, and I don't want to bore anyone. So bear with me as I post a few more. The final blog post about my room will have an all together view so these photos will make more sense. (hopefully)

Another Resolution done

Actually there are two resolutions here. The first one being, CLEAN and SORT craft room. The second one is to learn to use my iPad to its full potential. So these photographs and layout were all used with my iPad. So, briefly, (as this could take a while) this is my newly sorted craft room. This is the wall that faces me when I walk into my room. I made my little embellishment holder and ribbon holder myself, so I am quite proud of that achievement, picked up the paper racks (extremely cheaply) at a craft show. I have a place for my ribbons, background stamps, embellishments, scrap paper, punches, inks, roller wheels and a few cards for display purposes. I will add another section of my room when I finish it. Hope everyone is having a great start to 2013.

New Years Resolution

So, my First New Years Resolution for 2013 is to take better photographs of my cards. I have been searching the internet for tips and tricks using my camera, and low and behold, I came up with one from our very own (Amazingly Talented) Jennifer Shults. So, after reading through her extremely detailed blog, here are my results.

Here is the before photograph, taken in Natural sunlight using the Automatic settings on my camera.

Here is the photograph taken (indoors mind you) with the setting changes that Jen suggested in her blog. Wow. Amazing difference. Wouldn't you agree. So that, at least is one resolution ticked off. So many more to go. I have posted the link to Jens site below. Oh, and by the way, I have a D SLR camera, but this photo was used with my little Panasonic Point and Shoot camera.

Stampin Royalty Colour Challenge #157

Well, firstly, yeah me. This year has started out with a blast. I am now, officially, a Designer for Stampin Royalty. How awesome is that. So I urge you to stop by the blog, have a go at the challenges and check out the other Designers' works. I just hope I can produce the same quality that they do.

So here is my very first Designer card for 2013.

Create a card, Scrapbook page, 3-D Item, or My Digital Studio project using the above colors! Then upload it to your blog or public gallery and be sure to add a link back here letting people know you're participating in our challenge! So here is the link: Go and have a look. I assure you, it is worth the time.

Mojo Sketch #273

This is the card I have made for the Mojo Monday sketch number 273. I have used a digital image from Tiddlyinks that I have coloured with my Copics. I was going to say that this is the first card I have made without using any products from Stampin Up, but, I needed the ribbon and the pretty in pink for the scallop circle. Here is the link and the sketch that I used. The designer paper I have used is one from Jillbean Soup called Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup. Wow, what a mouthful that was.

Missing in Action (Again)

Oh dear. It seems that I have not been posting anything lately. For Months even. I am so sorry about that. But, it is okay now, I'm back and refreshed and ready to go. So for my first card after my little disappearance is a card using a digital stamp from Tiddlyinks. Check on my sidebar for a direct link. I made this card using the challenge from Stampin Royalty Sketch #156. It has been that long that I have nearly forgotten how to link everything. While I have been away, I have been practicing my colouring with my Copics, and I must say, I think I have improved a little bit.....  :)

Here is the sketch I used. So pop on over to the Stampin Royalty blog and have a look at all the Design Team cards. They are all made with Stampin Up products, all awesome, and you can get heaps of amazing ideas.

Copic Marker Journal Example 2

Here is the second example of my Copic Journal. This is where I can stamp the medium size rubber stamps and list the colours that I have used and where I have used them. So when I upload the file, the spaces where my stamps are will be blank. You can print the form onto copic paper and stamp your own images. This is also a good way to see what stamps you have and how you coloured them. There is also a sheet for smaller stamps, either digital or rubber, and also a sheet for larger stamps, again either digital or rubber. Please leave a comment to tell me what you think, or whether it is worth me uploading the file. Thanks

Copic Marker Journal with Bugaboo

So, finally I have finished my first page (of many) of my Copic Marker Journal. I am hoping to have the document as a free download very soon. The journal currently is up to page 21, so it is a pretty large file. So Bugaboo is having an anything goes challenge, and as far as anything, I think this qualifies. So a very quick explanation. The top section has all of my red markers listed with swatches. The second section has my favourite blends that I use, the third section has some examples of the blends and the fourth section has room for some images that I will stamp at a later date when I get some more colours. Because the stamps I have used are from Bugaboo, and I have purchased these through their online store, I have placed my watermark over the images. These are not on my original copies. Any comments would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to posting some more soon.

There is a direct link to Bugaboo, on the left hand side of my blog under Digital Stamps. Click on the link and it will take you straight to the challenge.

Clowning Around

I made this card this morning using the sketch shown below. Okay. So I rotated it a little bit so as I could use this little clown image from Dustin. I have a few little clowns so you will be seeing a few more of these yet. I am also experimenting with my iPad, trying to take a photo of the card, edit the card and then trying to blog with my iPad. So we will have to see how this turns out.

Steve the Pirate

Here is my take on the Freshly Made Sketches #58 for this week. If you are a Dodgeball fan, you will know all about Steve the Pirate. I wanted to see how this little fellow would look Copic'd. Well, I like him anyway. This is one of the original stamp set I purchased after joining Stampin Up. I just don't have the heart to let him go yet. It is actually quite difficult to create a Clean and Simple card, although these sketches are amazing and help a lot. If you would to play along with the challenge go to:

Dynamic Farewell

So again I have reached the end of another Guest Designer spot. I bid a fond farewell to the Dynamic Duos Designer team. Thank you so much for having me.

I thought I would end on a little Digi Stamp from Bugaboo. (The links are on the left hand side of my blog). This little fellow is called Edward. I have also gone with Basic Grey for my neutral instead of my usual Crumb Cake. So pop on over to the Dynamic Duos Challenge and have a little play for yourself.

Farmer Clem

So, I would like to introduce you to Farmer Clem. He is just the cutest farmer around. The stamp is one that I purchased last Friday, and I am entering him this week in the Colour Throwdown combination listed below. It seemed to be the right choice, as I had no idea that these colours would end up being the ones for this challenge as I was adding colour to Clem.

Dynamic Duos Week 3

So, it is now week three of my Guest designer spot with Dynamic Duos Colour Challenges, and I must say that I have had a ball. This card was made using the Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black with an option of die cuts. Well, I have used all three here. Pop on over and have a look at what the other Design Team have created. You will be blown way with the talent.

Guest Designer Week 2 Dynamic Duos

Okay, so only I would schedule a post with no content. So sorry for that. Here is the second card I have made for my Guest designer spot at www.thedynamicduochallenge.blogspot.com, using the above colours of course. The stamp set is one of Stampin Ups, that I have only just received, and must admit, love it. The stamp is called Topsy Turvy Celebration. Cool.

Dynamic Duos 22

I have finished yet another Christmas card. I have used the colours above through the Dynamic Duos colour challenge of Cherry Cobbler and 'Gumball Green', as my choice colour. I am going to link this card to the challenge blog, which you can find here dynamic-duos-22-mix-match-week. So this card is made up of everything Stampin Up, as per usual. Only twelve more Christmas cards to go.

Harvest Time at Bugaboo

Wow, it has been so long since I have used Blogger, everything is different. I hope this post works the way it is supposed to. So Bugaboo is having a challenge called Harvest time. I had previously purchased this little fellow, although never found a place on a card for him. This seemed to be the perfect opportunity to just that. So here he is, pumpkin'ed up and ready for business.

You can catch the challenge here: its-harvest-time-at-bugaboo

Woohoo, thanks Bugaboo. I win 4 free digital images from Jodi. Off shopping I go.
