Well, I am excited and a little nervous at the same time. I am the Guest Designer for Create with Connie and Mary for the whole of August. That is 5 weeks of cards from me. What an honour. So here is my first card that I have made for the colour challenge using the above colours. If you go to the right hand side of my blog and click on the Create with Connie and Mary link, you will go straight to the challenge site. Have a look at the rest of the design team cards. They are all awesome.

Best Dad Ever
I made this card for the Paper Players this week using the tic tac toe challenge below. I decided that I would go with the middle line, being blue, dry embossing and masculine. Australia has fathers day in September, so I am ahead of the game with this one. I based my card on the Mojo Sketch this week as well, so I have finished two challenges in one.

Dynamic Christmas
So, this card turned out better than I thought it would, and I think I will be doing some more of this style in different colours. I made this card for the Dynamic Duos challenge number 13.
I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso with a little hint on very vanilla.
(Sounds a little bit like morning tea actually. Coffee, cake with a twist of vanilla.)
The stamp set I used is Merry and Type from Stampin Up.

Christmas in July 2
Here is the second card we made for class this morning. It is a little cleaner card than the previous one. Although there are only a few colours in this card, I think I like it more than the other one. The colours are Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. There is a challenge over at Friday Mashup, using a Christmas card or Christmas card inside and outside, so I think I will enter this one, as we finished inside and outside.
Christmas in July 1
Here is one of the cards we made at class this morning. It features the Tags til Christmas stamp set from Stampin Up, Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock. I used all of the punches that co ordinate with the stamps. (So grateful for these). Here is a closer image of the front panel of the card, for those who didn't quite get the card assembled.

SU Brads and Buttons
SU Only Challenge this week was to use Brads and Buttons. I thought this card would be very well suited to this challenge. If you are wondering what the buttons are, they are supposed to represent the rocks in the back of the dump truck. So I used the stamp set from Stampin Up called I dig You. Being in the Civil Construction field of work myself, this stamp set suits us to the bone, although we have the real things in the back yard, same colour, just a bit bigger.
Tiddly Mojo
I made this card using another digital stamp from Tiddlyinks. I am in love with these images. I used the Mojo Sketch 251 for the layout of the card and some more of the Echo Park paper pack that I used on the Wryn Cowgirl card, and of course, still practising with my Copics.

Tiddlyinks Sketch Challenge
I made this card for the Tiddly inks Sketch challenge this week. I used the Wryn Howdy Cowgirl from Tiddly Inks. The direct link is on the right hand side of my blog if you want to have a look at all the amazing digi stamps. So, as I was using a digital image, I decided that I would use some of my old designer papers from Echo Park Co. The papers came from the 6 x 6 paper pack called Country Drive. I used my copics to colour in the image and the label punch was from Stampin Up. You know there had to be a stampin up item in there somewhere.

Mojo Mashup Chicken
I made this card for the Friday Mashup Challenge for this week.
The punches I used are as following:
Body: 1 3/4" circle punch
Belly: 1 1/4" circle
Crown: Hearts Punch (the one that has three of them)
Feet: Boho Blossom punch
Wings: Scallop Circle
Eyes: Whites 3/8" punch Black circles from build a cupcake punch
Here is the original concept, I just made a few minor changes:
So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :Make a project with " Punch Art ".
Or Make a project featuring your " Favorite Animal ".
Or "Mash it Up" and create a project " with an Animal made from Punches ".
Dynamic Bugs
Yet another Bus and Kisses card. This one is for the Dynamic Duo challenge of Crumb cake and another colour of your choice. I chose So Saffron. Only because I have not used this colour for a while now. I also included the banner from Little Additions stamp set. Love using this banner on my cards.

Bugs and Kisses 2
I stumbled across the Just Add Ink challenge site this morning (so I'm a little bit slow) and fell in love with this colour scheme. Since I had the Bugs and Kisses stamp set out already, I decided that I would make another card using the bugs. They really are very cute. So the colours are listed above, and I have already named the stamp set, so that is about it for this card. Well apart from the fact that I followed the Sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. Both links are included below, so click away, and have a play. lol
Create a cupcake
This is the card I made for the Stampin Royalty Picture Inspiration challenge Number 130. I decided that I would go with the Create a Cupcake stamp set from Stampin Up as I have not used this one before and the punch that matches this set make cutting a breeze.
My supplies include the following, SU Chipboard Numbers, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise card and ink pads to match. I cut the squares 2" and used the 1 3/4" circle punch for circles behind the cupcakes.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Pink
This is the card I finished off today and will enter into the Tidily Inks Challenge 89 Pretty in Pink. I used the Wryn Digital Stamp. Fortunately I have had this imaged coloured in for a few months now, but just decided to use it in this challenge. The patterned paper comes from a small pack of papers that I had for years. Decided to use these up as well. I think they come from Echo Park or somewhere like that. They come in a 6 x 6 pad. I used my copies for the colouring.
Guess who won the above mentioned challenge. Me. I now have a gift certificate for $5.00 from Tiddly Inks. (Already spent) mind you.
First, a HUGE thank you to all who joined us for this challenge!!! WOW! Let's pick this weeks winners of a $5 gift certificate to our favorite shop - Tiddly Inks!
Congratulations to....
Bugs R Us
Here is the card I created for the Connie and Mary Colour Challenge 208, using the above colours as reference. I decided that I would use an old stamp set, that is still one of my favourites, although discontinued. I thought that the colours in this card looked a little buggy to me, so it was the perfect stamp set. Check out the challenge site of Connie and Mary's, there are heaps of example cards using the same colours. All items on this card are Stampin Up of course.

The Greeting Farm Ribbon Challenge
This little card here I made as an experiment to see if I could colour with my copies on Crumb Cake card instead of Whisper White. So my answer for this would be YES. It is possible to colour on Crumb Cake as well as white. So this little guy is one of my favourites for The Greeting Farm. The challenge was supposed to include ribbon, but alas, I had no ribbon of any colour that would match this card. So my ribbon for this challenge is my little pennant strips of Faux ribbon. Cheating? Probably. Sorry, I shall endeavour to do better next time around.
Dynamic Duos #8
Here is the card I have made for the Dynamic Duos challenge number 8. I have used the stamp set My Friend from Stampin Up and stamped this in Always Artichoke onto Very Vanilla card. I then sponged the background with River Rock ink to finish off the front panel.I don't think I have made a card using these colours before, so I like the way it turned out.
There is a link on the right hand side of my blog. Click on that link and it will take you directly to more cards made using these colours on the challenge page.

First Mini Album 2012
Well, I guess this has been one of the worst two weeks we have had to date. After the passing of my husbands mother (my mother in law), one of the most beautiful people I had the honour of knowing, and entertaining a total of 29 family members, lots staying with us, I decided that it was time to get back to the craft room and this is what I created. This is the first mini album I have posted on my blog. This one was just to highlight some of my favourite photographs of my children. The front pages are of my eldest son Nathan and the back side of the album is about my youngest son Daniel. After a loss in the family, I suppose you tend to reflect on your own life, and am using this album to write down all the things I am thankful for.
The colour scheme was a challenge from stampin royalty Colour Challenge
and the cover was designed using the sketch from Deconstructing Jen

CCMC 204 Colour Challenge
Here is the card I finished last night for the Create with Connie and Mary ccmc204-color-challenge.html
for this week. I really love these colours. These women are amazing with their colour challenges. Their colours are so awesome mixed together.
Card Monkey Dynamic Duos Graduation Challenge
Here is my card for the Card Monkey challenge using a sketch and also a theme. The theme is Graduation and the sketch and details can be found on the above link. Cool site. The colours came from the dynamic duos challenge which involved using the two colours as shown below.

Thank you - Stampin Royalty
So, all good thing must come to an end, and this is the end of my time with Stampin Royalty as a Guest Designer. I must admit, that I have had a ball over the past few months and will be at a loss as to what to do next. I would however like to take this blog opportunity to thank the girls at stampin royalty for making my time with them awesome. They are so talented and have amazing challenges and ideas. Pop on over and say hi.
My card for this week (Masculine) theme, was right up my alley. Being the only female in a house full of boys, I tend to make more male cards than female cards. From what I gather, this is unusual, but that's me to a tee.
I went with the Totally Tools stamp set from Stampin Up and used Real red, Basic Grey, Black and Whisper White. I also used the tiny pennant flags from Little Additions, also Stampin Up. Its a bit hard to see, but I used Crystal Effects on the handles of the tools as well. So, thanks for taking the time to look at my cards for the previous few months and leaving such awesome comments. :)

Guest Designer SUO Challenges
![]() |
I was lucky enough to be selected by SUO challenges to be a guest designer for a day. The theme is Summer Days and here is the card i came up with, (bit tricky as we are heading into winter). Oh well, we are one day closer to summer than we were yesterday. The colours I have used are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise. The little ships were made using the Photo Corner punch, and the waves were made using the sizzix edgelits from Stampin Up. Clouds were made using the top of the cupcakes punch. Hope you check out all of the other cards on the www.suochallenge.com site too. They are all great.
