Here is the card I made for the SUO Challenge 40. The heading is It's Fun Being Green. And, it just seemed to go together nicely.

Supplies:

Old Olive Card and Designer Paper
Daffodil Delight Card and Designer Paper
Old Olive and Daffodil Delight ink
Up Up and Away stamp set
Large Star Punch for Sun Beams?
Circle punch 1 1/4"
Circle Punch 3/4"

St Patricks Day Owls

I know I said no more owls. but I made this card for the Friday Mash Up Challenge 'Who's Feeling Green, and the details do say make a project for St. Patrick's Day or make a project using 2 punches. So I have made a card for the Mash Up, using both. Actually I thought it said Hoots Feeling Green not Who! No, just kidding. I could also enter this as my second card in the Pals Paper Arts challenge as well as I have certainly used the greens required. Also Do You Stack Up - things with wings.

Supplies:

Garden Green, Old Olive & Pear Pizzazz Card & Designer Paper
1" Square and Postage Stamp Punch Stampin Up
Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set
Owl Punch Stampin Up
So Happy For You Stamp Set (old)
Branch - Quickutz

The Open Sea - All together now

Here are all five cards made with the Open Seas Stamp set. Each of these cards have been posted individually, I just wondered what they would look like all together. So here you go. Cool

The Open Seas Card 5

Yeah! Finally I have completed the Fifth card using the stamp set The Open Seas from Stampin Up.
Again I have used the Deconstructed Sketch for help with the layout. Oh Boy, Do I love Sketches.

The PPA Colour Challenge and DYSU Challenge

Well this card was FUN. Lots of Copic practise with the Digital Stamp from Wee Stamps, lots of flower making with the SU Scallop circle punch and lots of inking (Sponging) around the edges of all the card.

Here is this closer image of the coloured image. She is gorgeous. Beautiful stamp. So I made this card for a few challenges including:

Pals Paper Arts Colour Challenge

Do You Stack Up - Things with Wings

Up Up and Away FMS Challenge # 24

This card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I have used the same stamp set, coloured card, well the same everything really, except the sketch.

Night of Navy Designer paper, Ink and Card
Whisper White
Cherry Cobbler Ink and Card
Craft ink and Card

Up, Up and Away Deconstructed Sketch

Here is the card I made this afternoon using the Deconstructed Sketch # 41. I chose the colours of this card from one that I had pinned on Pinterest earlier in the month and it just seemed fitting to go with this stamp set. I made the clouds using the top of the cup cake punch. Pretty good for clouds if I do say so myself.

Oh WOW. How is this. Here is the original card that I used for the colours of this sketch.

I was wondering why this card came together so nicely, although I do think that Wendy's card is a lot better visually that mine is. I can't believe how close these cards both are, considering I used a sketch.

SU Birthday Challenge

Here is a female birthday card I made last weekend and finished off this morning. I saw a card on Mary Fish (stampin Pretty) blog with the same fold, so I thought I would give it a go as well.

Supplies Used:
Whisper white and Pretty in Pink card
Pretty in Pink Designer Paper
Pretty in Pink Ribbon (Satin) and buttons
Sizzix top note die and small leaves
Small dots embossing folder
Heat Gun and White Embossing Powder
Vellum
Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Marker

So a brief run down on how I made this: The little secret I have learned here is to emboss on the vellum, then turn the vellum over and colour on the back side of the rose. Add a few little shadows here and there, and hey presto. Done.

BLOG UPDATE: Check this out. Thank You SUO.

Open Seas Number 4 The Paper Players Challenge #84

This is the fourth card I have made using the Open Seas stamp set from Stampin Up. I have used the sketch below as inspiration from the Paper Players.
The supplies used are as follows:
Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Early Espresso card
Matching Designer paper
The Open Seas stamp set
Random white string
Label and oval punch

Oops, I just noticed that DYSU (Do You Stack Up) has a distressed challenge also. So I will enter this card as my submission here as well AND Stampin Royalty has a challenge called (dressing down) oh crap. No buttons or flowers or brads. I think that this card will qualify for that challenge nicely.

DYSU Layer Challenge

Here is yet another card using, Stampin Ups Bundle of Joy stamp set. I am entering this one in the Do You Stack Up Layers Challenge # 59. It, as says is all about layering. So, I have layered each and every block to create a quilted effect, and also layered the stamped image and Welcome title.

Here is a close up of the stamped image and tiny (hand made) flowers.

Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron and Bashful Blue
Designer Papers (scraps) to match the card stock
Label and Hearts edge punch, Scallop Circle and Circle Punch
Copic Markers to match the card stock (Almost)

Masculine - The Paper Players

Here is a card that I made a while ago, pulled apart, started again, pulled apart and started again. You know, you have those days when you're crafting, and nothing seems to come together the way you think it should. Well this was one of those times. So finally, here it is finished, and I am pretty happy with it now. Although, if I stare at it too long, I am sure I will pull it apart again. So, best be stuffing it in an envelope and posting it. I am entering this card into The Paper Players Challenge - Masculine. Although I'm not sure how masculine this card is, but I know it's not feminine.

Stampin Royalty Sketch Challenge 111

Here is the card I came up with using the retired Bundle of Joy stamp set from Stampin Up. All I can say, is why why why? I love this stamp set.

And as a pretty awesome coincidence, I had made three separate baby cards for the Bundle of Joy stamp set and I was up to completing one in Certainly Celery. (Will post these a little later). How cool, I didn't even have to choose the colours. So the ingredients are as follows:

Whisper White Card
Certainly Celery Card & Designer Paper
Little Additions Stamp Set
Baby Bundle Stamp Set
Bundle of Joy Stamp Set
Copic Markers
Leaf punch (Not sure where)
Circle Punches for flowers
Hearts Border Punch

Tiddly Inks Valentines Challenge

I just cant get enough of these digital stamps. They are so darn cute. I made this card using the sketch from I heart 2 stamp and it just so happens that Tiddly Inks challenge for this month is Valentines. Awesome, two challenges with one card, gotta love that.

The Paper Players challenge 81

Well this card didn't start out as a challenge card, I just really love the tiddly inks digital stamp, so she had to go on a card. As it turns out, the Paper Players are having a challenge using flowers and as I added some cute little flowers it all worked out fine and dandy. Here is a closer image of the flowers. (Handmade of course).

You can find the links to the digital stamp and the challenge on my side bar.
Well I almost forgot. This card is based on the sketch from Deconstructing Jen this week. I cant believe that I forgot that. Sorry.

Open Seas - Deconstructed Sketch

Here is another card I have made using the Open Seas stamp set from Stampin Up. I think this has taken over from the Lovely as a Tree for favourites at the moment. Awesome for male birthdays and, well, anything male really. I made this card using the sketch from The deconstructed Sketch shown below.

I have used all of the same 'ingredients' that I used for the card below as well, so this one was really speedy to put together.

Open Seas - Friday Mash up

Here is the card I made for the Friday Mash Up challenge blog.
I have used the designer papers - Nautical Expedition
Card stock to match the Designer Paper
Inks to match the Designer Papers
Stamp set - The Open Seas
Little brad for tag
Sizzix label for tag
Bakers twine - replacing ribbon on sketch
Word window punch for sentiment

Sorry - More Owls

So, with this card I had no intention of bringing out the SU two step owl punch again. I started with the colours from the Color throwdown challenge, I coloured a digital stamp in my copics, and at the last minute, changed my mind and grabbed for the owl punch. I think in my last post, I did mention that I was not going to make any more owl cards, but, well, they are seriously cute, and fun to put together as well. So this time, I am not going to promise that I will not be making any more owl cards, but they are a great little addition to any card. Very versatile.

Birthday Owls

Here is the final card for my five card using the same stamp (punch) in this case. I have used the two step owl punch, Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Pretty in pink card stock. Matching inks for the sponging and designer papers to match the card stock. I am entering this card in the challenge for Pastel Birthday card with The Friday Mash Up.

Colour Challenge - Kindness Owl

Okay, so I promise. No more owls for today. Maybe one more later in the week though. I made this card for the colour throwdown first colour challenge for this year. It is not quite what I had in mind when I started this card, but I think it turned out rather well. So that only leaves one more card for the Owl punch.

Get Well Owls

Some more Owls using Stampin Up 2 step owl punch. This card was originally inspired by Teneale Williams and I had posted this card last year (bring in the Medics). I decided that I would pull it apart and have a little re vamp. It's one of those moments where you finish your card and then think, why didn't I put that there or why didn't I use that. Posted below is the original card I posted, so there are a few subtle changes.

I changes the colour of the card to Whisper White, stamped the background in Crumb Cake and used the Word Play sick stamp to stamp the background, changed the wings on the owls, removed the white knot on the right hand side, added a branch and finally inked all the edges of the card and owls. Luckily, all without destroying the original card. I must have used some pretty old tape and adhesive.

Three down, two to go.

Stampin Royalty Party Owls

Here is the latest card I have made using the SU Owl Punch. I am submitting this card in the Stampin Royalty Sketch Challenge #105 this week.  Although I did rotate the sketch to fit the owls on the card, I am growing quite fond of this little punch.

I have used the following:
Peach Parfait
Rose Red
Old Olive
Whisper White
Crumb Cake

New Years Resolution: I must make at least 5 cards using either punch or stamp set...... two down, another three to go????

Punchy Colour Challenged Owls

P1030144

Stampin royalty sample 003

Here is my very first post for 2012. It is a combined challenge for Stampin Royalty (colour challenge) and also a punch challenge for SUO. I really love the way these little owls look on cards, they are one of my favourite punches. We will be making some of these cards in class for sure.
